2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS Leaked Ahead of World Premiere
We’ve known it was coming for some time now, and photos showing it nearly undisguised have already surfaced. But today, the first press shots of the next-generation 2011 Mercedes CLS-Class have been leaked, showing the newest iteration of the four door coupe in all its unabashed glory.

it def. looks good to me..i like it..i still have to see it in person before i make the final judgement call tho. Also, I heard its not coming out in the USA until late 2011 as an 2012 model..Anyone know if there is any truth to this?

I think it looks good. Interior is great im glad they went with a bit more style and not like the new W212 e class which seems cheap as hell.

I mostly like what I see except for the hideous mess of a door character line. The upward crease is just an over-tryed, over-designed mess. Too many lines going in different directions, and a bit of mismatching.
The interior looks good, but comparable to the W212's, and the A/C vents seem straight out of the C-Class. It doesn't have that "exclusive" look of the original CLS's interior, although I like this new ones design better all in all it seems.
All that said, I think it'll look hot in person, and I'm sure will have a presence. I can't wait to see it side by side with the old one to see how they stack up. The rear of this one is leagues better than the horrible rear of the OG CLS IMO, and the front headlights are much nicer than the OG CLS's other weak spot to me: Headlights. Also, it seems to sans the "Banana Shape", which is a good thing.

I love it. I think if this is an indication of MB's future styling direction than I'm getting another MB. The interior is amazing as well..It seems to be BMW-inspired but more elegant.

I know. ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I guess I should start preparing for the CLS already.![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
BTW, is it me or is the front door handle higher than the rear one? Interesting as it's usually the opposite. I guess they're reversing the traditional "wedge" effect with downward sloping lines, and downward sloping handles, with the upward line and upward handles.

Yeah, the execution of the "fender hump" is great on this CLS. However, the curvy/smooth sculpting of it looks odd when matched with the sharp and crisp door lines.
To me, there's a lot of art going on with this design, which makes sense, as the W212 is seen as perhaps too arty for its own good by some as well. So the CLS continues this indulgence of arty designing by M-B's Designers, however, problem is, things don't seem to come together. Perhaps it's irrelevant because all that detailing will make for a car that just pops out at you in person so much, you just have to love (or hate for that matter) it.

That thing is pure beauty. I LOVE it!!! I think its as close to perfection as one can get. I have been staring at the pictures trying to find something I dont like and the best I could come up with is...
Whats the point of the third brake light being so low?!? I dont dislike it or like it I just dont get it. But I am in LOVE. lol

Actually it's not a brake-light (they legally have to be higher than the taillights), it's the rear foglight I'm pretty sure.

Here's some more info. According to the article, it's getting LED headlights.
