Can you buy a AMG sport package?
Hello all, im new to the former, in the market for a 07-08 CLS and was wondering if i was to buy a CLS without the sport pack, could i buy one and get someone to swap out the oem look with the amg look?

or is it better to just buy an aftermarkt kit ?

suggestions? i would love to get a car already with the sport pack on it, but they are a lot rare-er than regular CLS's

why don't u just get an AMG? i would never put aftermarket replica on my CLS (unless small stuffs like front lip ...etc..)

there are alot things u need to make a regular CLS looks like an AMG and unless u are willing to pay alot and get all the parts from dealer, otherwise it'll be alot work. (bumper, grill, wheel ...etc)

and if u really going to do that, i would just go with brabus kit or something .

I would not suggest this either. You are better off getting a CLS with the AMG Sports package on it already. It would be a major PITA to get the parts and install the AMG kit afterward, not to mention a load of money.

There are plenty of CLS's around with Sports kits on them, buy one of those.

Well i looked with my dealer friends at some manheim auctions, and only like 5% of the CLS's on their have the sport package...

so the probability of me getting a better deal on a cls w/o the sport pack is a lot higher

No.

CLS 550

CLS550

All of these have the AMG package, loaded. A few 2009's at good prices in the mix as well. You have over 20 cars to look at. Happy hunting!

Just a tidbit of information, a lot of MB's on Ebay are from high-end dealers. Quite a few members here have had much better prices and experiences with Ebay buys. I know I did. On each of the cars I bought off Ebay, the CLS and R they were both inspected by the local MB dealer, a full report and VMI was pulled and paid for by the dealer I bought them from.

I tried the Manheim route first as well, but got better deals elsewhere on my last two MB purchases.
