Question 2009 CLS550...what fog bulbs do I have?

I am interested in switching out my fog light bulbs to something that matches the hid headlights. Sylvania's website says that I could either have an H7 or H11 bulb. I have the amg sport package on the car so I wasn't sure which fog light bulb I need? Can anyone help out with this?

I wanted to replace with a same wattage color closer to the HID look of the headlights but I really don't know any reputable bulb brand or part to go with. I know some people go with HID fogs but I really don't feel like dealing with that. Does anyone have any suggestions on this? Has anyone had any decent luck with led fog lamps?

Sport Package is H7.

Regular bulbs will never get the right look. Go with an HID kit. It's nearly plug and play just like the bulbs your about to buy.

I just finished off my headlights/foglights with a DDM tuning kit. Both 8000k, Headlights 55w and foglights 35w.

Looks amazing.

I'm confused...I have now read several places now H7 and H11....Taldir, I'm assuming you're referring to the Amg Sport Package...correct? If that's the case then I guess it is H7. I just don't want to buy the wrong thing and then deal with returning it.

Yes. I have a set of H11's on my desk and a set of H7's in the fog lights. I bought the H11's because it was the first thing listed on the Sylvania website. Oops!

I have the AMG Sport package.

I did the same thing Taldir did. Bought the H11's only to realize they were H7 when I went to change them. Tke 5 minutes and pull the fog light out and see for yourself which bulb you have. It is a very simple procedure for those of us with the AMG sport package. The foglight comes right out the front. 7 torx screws total.

Thanks for the info Jaedee and Taldir...the dealer also verified with me H7....the only other question I had is what the wattage is supposed to be for the fog bulbs....I see info about 55watts and 35watts...what is the stock wattage?

I put 35watt it my fogs and 55watts in the headlights. The reason I went 35 in the fogs is due to less heat because it is a smaller housing. I've read of people putting 55 in both and having no issues, but it wasn't worth the small increase of light you receive for me.
