Pictures for my 2012 CLS550

Pick up my 2012 CLS550 yesterday. Car ordered without any option, final purchase price is $68k. I personally didn't like the look of LED headlight(too much influence from newer Audi). I was able to re-use my Carlsson 2/16 previously used on my E350. Huge performance improvement over my 2007 CLS550. Very happy with the new purchase.

wow i didnt know the leds was an option lol. Surprisingly the head lights actually still look nice without them tho! But please tell me mercedes is not still making cars with halogens tho . These cars cost too much to have halogens. Also, what are the bulbs outlining the headlights..turn signal?

How did you get a final purchase price of $68k, when MSRP is $71k. Are they discounting the car that much? Also the LED head light option is part of the P1 option. So what options do you have?

Only MBs - the best or nothing
I actually do agree with your no options approach. It puts you in this great car with all leather interior for $68K (basically for MSRP of '11 E550 with P2 and Pano).

Its too bad that a car in this price range does not have rearview camera as standard equipment Ventilated and active multicontour driver seat would be nice too. The rest of P1 package I can live without.

Overall, a very smart move. Something to think about.

Also, did you order your car like that and they gave you $4K off at order time or was it already on their lot like that? I think its former, just want to confirm that.

Price negotiation was done after car arrived. Dealer didn't asking for any deposit to place order. I'm their return customer, bought 7 cars from them through past 5 years.

Wow this is the very first time I have seen those headlights. I thought the Non LED looked like the other but were just xenon instead of all LED.
They kind of look like the CL headlights.
Do the headlight have LED DRL or are those just the turn signal LED?
Congrats and enjoy.

This car will go $4-6k off MSRP if you know people.

My CLS is at $81k MSRP with a selling price of $74.5

Bone stock, still a nice car, but if you're spending this much you might as well get a good $5-7k in options. You're missing a ton of things at bone stock.

Again, to each his own, but love Iridium.

Oh my fault. I thought the LED daylight running lamps were the LEDs around the headlight. But it's cool, I looked up the CL550 and got an idea.

Looks nice! I think I like your headlights better than the full led options.

The lower LED lights are lit but not the upper ones in the headlight unit. Do the upper LEDs only light as part of an option you don't have or have you turned them off in the settings?

Couldn't agree with you more! When you are spending like $70k, might as well spend $75, lol. P1 is a must! I can't imagine buying Mercedes w/o P1 package. Then again, everybody has their own needs and desires, lol.

When are you posting pics of yours? I know you spent like 2 weeks just deciding the color

The full LED headlamps are part of the P1 package which I have in my '12 CLS. The full LED headlamp unit includes orange LED turn signals above each headlight, but within the headlamp unit. There are 2 separate LED DLRS, an upper one across the face of the headlamp unit and then the lower one below.

Beyond the cosmetic difference, which is subjective, the combo of the DLRs for safety purposes make the car very visible and the orange LED turn signals can't be missed so it is obvious that you intend to turn. LED turn signals (orange) are also in the front of the outside mirrors and in the rear too for visibility and stopping and turning "notice" but that may the case for non-P1 cars too, not sure.

Add me to the list that thinks the P1 package in the CLS is well worth the $$, but it is great that MB offers the CLS in so many flavors so you can option it, or not, as you wish.

Engine responds much quicker than 2007 CLS550 with Gas mileage improved by 2 mpg.
