Squeaky window? Here's how to fix it.
First you need to remove the door panel, (I can post instructions for that, but most people that have the noise issue, have been in the door already.) Image 1 shows the rail which the window rides on. It is this rail that I put some synthetic silicone based grease on. If you remove the speaker, you will have access to the entire rail via the hole provided by the speaker being gone. Just apply grease to this rail and the noise will be a thing of the past. Best dang mod I've done to my car yet, and I've done quite a few. Put the door back together and enjoy the silence.
P.S. In case anybody is wondering, the glass does not make contact with this rail, so there will be grease on your glass.

Nice!! I have yet to experience this noise, but i have had the rubber squeak in the summer when rolling window down. Talk about embarrassing. I brought some of the gummi pflege can't wait to use it next time it gets hot. If i do have this problem tho i will use this for reference. Post the how to remove the door panel please this is something i don't know how to do yet.

HUGE Thanks. My front passenger window ALWAYS squeaks loudly when I bring it down when the car has been sitting in sun for a long time. It can get annoying but I never took it in since it only happened infrequently. I think this write up will do the trick.

I just re-visited this thread for someone else and noticed a mistake on my part. There will NOT be any grease on your glass.

My Mercede's repair shop has had to replace regulators in three CLS500's in just two months (mine makes 4). When he did my driver's door last month he said the other cars all came back to have the second front door repaired not long after the original door was fixed. My passenger front window stopped going up today. The window squealing only occurred in the front doors when the outdoor temp was 85 or above. I ignored it for 2 summers and it became a costly repair.
