New Owner Intro w/Pics
Just wanted to introduce myself as I am new to the Mercedes arena. I have already been lurking and the site has been extremely useful so far. I had not planned on getting a CLS, but my Lexus GS430 broke a tie-rod and sent me into a ditch flipping my black on black GS.
How she was:
How she ended up:
I had planned on another newer model GS, but always liked the CLS and found some that I liked. Ended up pulling the trigger on an 06 CLS500. Really enjoy it so far, but it will not be in stock form long. I have always enjoyed modified cars so here is my list so far.
Genuine Mercedes chrome door cups (installed)
5k City lights (installed)
Clear corner lights (installed)
HID conversion (ordered)
Roof Spoiler (being painted)
AMG rear spoiler (bring painted)
Lowering links (ordered)
Incurve IC-S5 20x9 &20x10.5 (ordered)
G2 Brake caliper paint kit - black (ordered)
Audiocontrol line level controller (installed)
Infinity 1000.1 sub amp (installed)
Alpine Type-X 12" sub (installed)
How she sits:
My other two cars.
Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 AWD, AWS, Twin Turbo
1969 Camaro w/built 396
Happy to be here!!!!!!

Yep, broken tie-rod let the right wheel do what it wanted and it wanted to go into a ditch. Once in the ditch, I hit an AT&T telephone box which sent the car into a 90 degree spin. Once the rear wheels caught, over I went. If you have any tie-rod issues, get it fixed!!!!!
As for the wheels, I want to stick with 20's as my tires from the Lexus have about 500 miles on them. They are also perfect for staggered 20 fitment so I can save some money there. I really wish I could drop $6k on a nice set of wheels, but I have three cars and a boat to spread money around to. It would be easy to go all out on one car, but I love what each car has to offer and my other 2 are not short on mods. That means, they are not cheap to maintain so I have to be frugal.

Thanks for the compliments on the Camaro. I flew up to Chicago yesterday for the Meacum Muscle Car & More Auction and there was definitely some nice ones there. Not sure if anyone watches their auctions broadcast live on Velocity (Discovery channel), but there are some killer cars. There was one 06 CLS55 AMG that went through with 95k miles. It was pretty rough with multiple rock chips and dents. It no sold with a high bid of $28k.

I love the variety of cars you own, I've always been a fan of the 3000 GT VR4 / Stealth TT's.
As you can probably tell by my username I also like the Camaro just a bit.

Thanks!!!! I fell in love with 3000GT's/Stealths many moons ago and have had this particular one for 12 years now. It is a rare color and they only imported 42 total to the US in 95. As for the Camaro, what can you say about classic muscle. My father dealt in classic cars so I grew up around them my whole life, especially heavy-chevys

Quick update. Got some of my mods completed and installed so thought I would update with some new pics. Sorry, these were taken around 7:45 am so the lighting was not that great, but you can see how the car has progressed.
More to follow, but so far I am really happy with how the car is coming together.

CLS550 AMG Pkg.
the alloy finish of those incurves suits your car really well. you should seriously consider painting your front bumper reflectors to match your exterior paint, I did it with my CLS in the first week after getting it and it made the front end look wayyyy cleaner. I had played with the idea of getting clear lens reflectors and putting in super white bulbs, but I wanted to keep the front end simple since my last ride had angel eyes and 30k HID projectors and fogs lol

Thanks for all the compliments guys!!!! Grill is definitely in the near future for sure. The wheels are Incurve 20x9 & 20x10.5. I think they fit the car very well and really happy with the way it has turned out. No sport body kit that I know of, just factory CLS. Here are a couple more pics after lowering the car a touch more and added Mercedes caps to the wheels.

Thanks
Not much left to do. May upgrade grill pretty soon then I will be deciding on which front end to go with. I do not like how high the CLS front sits so I will either go AMG bumper/Lip or Prior Design front end. Cost will probably disctate the AMG route, but I will focus on that next year.
