Widest rims possible on W219 CLS?
I know the norm is 9 or 9.5" wide, however, im curious to know if 10.5 wide will fit?
Any idea what offsets are usually ran with the 9s or 9.5s? Anyone know what I would need to run if I ran 10.5?
Thank you for any help...want to order my wheels asap

Managed to get hold of a 10.5 x 20 et 42 rim...with a 12-15mm spacer, it clears the inner bar that goes from the hub to the upper ball joint.
It is this bar that is the sole problem for going for wide rims! If it wasnt there, you would have been able to run 12-13" wide rims on the front if you wanted!
Bringing the 10.5 down to around ET25, it was around 1" outside the arch...I dont mind flaring the arches ever so slightly, but not that much!!
Looks like ill have to go the skinny route of 9-9.5 on the front which is a MASSIVE let down in my opinion...I had 9's on the front of my Ford Focus RS!!
Ill actually be running skinnier tyres than most do as I prefer a stretched look and means I can mess about with 'poke', ill be running 235/35 on the front and 275/35 or 30 on the back
I dont drive the car like an animal so dont need huge tyres

Hi ,i am new on here, i have an 06 w219 cls 55amg which has been powered by brabus. and i have had smaller pulleys fitted for instant kick on the supercharger. it also has been remapped and is running 710 bhp. i am so pleased with power ,but want to make the car look meaner .i have 20" staggered concaved rims which look amazing ,but want to ad some flared front wheel archges. that you see on the cl black series ,also i am after a rear diffuser ,but a good deep one ....does anybody know where i can purchase these from in the uk as i am having trouble finding them...
Thanks guys and gals.

For the rear i was thinking of running 30mm spacers to bring the rear offset down from ET53 to ET23. And then run a 305/25/20 or possibly 315/25/20? If i run a 35 series tire in the front then Im going to have to run 30 series in the back so in that case either 305/30/20 and 315/30/20.
what direction to go in??
