New Owner - 2009 CLS550 Calcite White
Hey everyone
just signed the papers to my new to me 09 CLS550 CPO with ELW
Picking it up this Friday. Can't wait!!
Been searching for a CLS for a few years now and finally came across one with low mileage. Only 53,000kms!
No AMG package but the car was super clean and well maintained. Loving the white!
I promised myself not to mod this one, but we all know about that hideous mod bug.
Will post pics once I take delivery!

Took it to my friend with STAR diagnostics to increase the volume of the chirp, turn off DRLs and lower the car 1" all around. I'll most likely go lower next Spring.
Lowering the car 1" all around improved handling big time. The car feels more planted when taking hard turns and it's still super comfortable.

The CLS feels super heavy compared to the CLK55. But in the CLS, I feel the torque kick in much more than the CLK. I feel like the CLS is faster than the CLK. It does have more HP/tq of course, but it's also significantly heavier.
The CLK55 is a great all around car minus the practicality of a 4 door. The back seats were pretty roomy.

Mods, I'm not sure yet. I might throw two 12s in the trunk and lower it more next spring. Been craving black wheels too.

Got the subs installed
The rings are a little worn out. Going to refresh them when the weather gets better.
Basically they are two 12" JL Audio subwoofers with a JBL CS Series amp.
They pound pretty hard despite all that insulation in the trunk! Happy I went with two 12s instead of a single. I don't think single would've made a big difference.
