Hi all, sharing the timeline of my cls, and new car!

It has been awhile since i posted on mbworld. i just want to say hi to everyone here on the CLS board. I got this car brand new on 2006 march and Ive decide to keep this car for life since it is my first car. She currently have 43530 miles since march 8th of 2006. Keyless entry won't work on 3 of the doors and reverse mirror won't go back to original position by itself. other than that, no major issues. enjoy the pics!

here are some progress pictures since 2006, enjoy.

few days after i got it.

rims (Rays Arthur Exhange), wald kit, DP grille, custom exhaust, lowered during 2010

took this guy to autox with tons of haters hating on me at the event for driving this thing.

rims got destroyed and was running on stocks for awhile, then got some new wheels. Volkracing Progressiv TS and new Prior Design grill + yellow 2500k fog lights. Also a roof spoiler and a Wald hood emblem was added. These pics were taken around 2 months ago.

back to March of 2013, finally got a FRS! Rolling on stocks wheels at that time because all 4 tires went.

agreed, the 2nd set of wheels looked a lot better. actually there are rivets, but they are color matched from the factory so you can't see it from far away.

thanks!

i just bought it at a local shop called AJR. this was way back in 2006. i would recommend getting the whole kit because the front will look a lot lower than the sides and rear.

Fran,
Your car is classic. I love how it looks + stands + how well everything blends in together.
I'd avoid chrome wheels with full face like your 2nd picture.
Mine is just factory AMG appearance with actual cls500 in Opal Black.
I'm in the process of installing AMG 8/4 pistons brakes along with my new Maya RM1 in 20" staggered set up. I have Carlsson lowering modular ( not plug n play). My electronic skills can finish the job with no problems for sure. How did you lower your ride? Lowering by STar is my other option. Please reply. Ned

thanks for the kind words. i was into the chrome look back then, but rims got destroyed and i went with something more subtle looking. when you ordered your Maya's, where they made for the CLS500 or CLS55/63? I believe the AMG may not clear since the 500's got small brakes. i lowered my car with the washer method i believe. i wasn't too sure what the shop did. I thought about going for the module, but it was very expensive and it's going to stress the shocks regardless so i went with the cheapest method. honestly, i will use Star if possible and use links if star is not available. save the extra few bucks for a nice front lip.
