CLS 320cdi problem with number plate lamp
Hello,
I have problem with my 06 mb cls 320cdi. Left-hand number plate lamp isnt working. It keeps blinking after 5 seconds..I have changed the lamp but the fault is still there. I changed a couple mounths ago and but there LED-s.
When i took both lamps out suddenly left-hand lamp work and the other, right-hand lamp kept blinking. LED´s worked correctly before..2 weeks.
Any suggentions? Do i need to replace the SAM module or is there anything to check?

SO now both licence plate lights are LEDs right ? If so did you replace just an LED bulb or the whole light assembly ? Look at the pictures.
Do you have any other lights on your CLS replaced with LED ?
Do you have this
or this

Problem solved then, you have too many cheap LEDs ive had exact same problem .so you really have 2 option -replace park lamps with quality LEDs like these http://www.aznoptics.com/index.php?m...&products_id=8 or i am selling a pair becouse i didnt like it https://mbworld.org/forums/mobile-el...ptics-com.html
or option two will be purchasing quality LED licence plate lights like picture #2 , they are not that expensive , i think i paid $40 or so...

I think it is car ECU adapting or something because LEDs drawing less power then regular light bulbs...
I am just sharing my own experiance-ive had same problem and i found solution that worked for me

Cls 320cdi w219
I bought these
But can not the old ones out cos the chrome trim on the boot lid is stopping them from coming out
What a stupid idea, why not made the gap slightly bigger, and to take the chrome trim off is impossible cos it's stuck on!!

Unfortunately this is the part that ***** from IJDMTOY.com dont tell you and then they deleted my review even tough i re-left it 5 times .
Anyways it just takes longer , you will need to remove 2 screws and then there is a double sided tape that holds boot lid in place. I used old credit card to separate the lid from the trunk. Taking off old tape off the plastic lid that is a real PITA. Took me like an hour. Then you have to use new doublesided tape, i used 3M . Not that hard.
this is what it looks like when you done
