Has anyone changed the filter on the airmatic compressor??
Hi All,
Just noticed that there is a filter on the compressor for airmatic, and this is considered a regular maintenance item.
Don't change the compressor is likely to fail.
Anyone change this out?
Looks like it is just under passenger side engine cover (closest to the front of the car)..
This is the part:

Easy to change. Be advised to inspect the rubber line leading from the filter to the air compressor; on my car it was dry-rotted and broken allowing unfiltered air into the compressor. Temporary fix was to cut the line shorter until I could obtain a replacement line. Inexpensive part.

You’re suspecting that the incoming air to the compressor has one of four bags slammed? Seems impossible since the compressor feeds a valve block which splits out the lines to the bags.

Ya that’s what I thought ..it’s my first time dealing with airmatic . Now the compressor is not moving any of the other 3 , probably because of the leak on one side

OK so what’s going on now? Is one down or all four? When you open the door or start car does the compressor kick on?
