2011 Mercedes CLS550

Ebv, abs, esp malfunction. Won’t start!!

Hey guys, I’m fairly new to the form as I just signed up today. I’m having a little issue with my 2011 Mercedes CLS 550. My girlfriend was driving it and pulled into the gas station to get fuel, as she did so she turned the car off. After pumping fuel and getting back in the car, the car refuse to start. All the lights are on but there is no cranking or anything other than all the dash lights coming on when you attempt to start the vehicle. Any ideas?

Is there check engine light? Did you pull the code? Has it started since? My bet is on a bad Crankshaft Position Sensor. It happened to me. It is very frustrating. Look for code P0335 using an OBDII scan tool. If you don't have one you can go to advance auto and they will let you use one for free, and I think they even pull the code for you. Don't go to a "mechanic" for this diagnostic and waste $100 or more when you can do it easily yourself.

All the lights are on. There are no engine codes.

The car makes no sound when attempting to start. Battery is fully charged. And all the fuses even the ones under the passenger floorboard are good. And they are getting power.

I am currently having the same issue, 2 hours away from home. Were you able to figure it out?

That sounds frustrating—modern Mercedes can be sensitive when it comes to battery or ignition issues. You might want to check the battery voltage first, even if lights come on, as low voltage can prevent cranking. any information would be really helpful, I’m really far away from home, trying to figure out if its a easy fix before I take it to the dealer and get charged an arm and leg.
