Euro pricing released...

http://www.germancarfans.com/news.cf...ercedes/1.html

Should be around $80k US for the 500 model, correct?
It has a very nice looking interior (especially the dashboard).
Anyone know if this car sits lower to the ground compared to the E and S? I saw it at the auto show, but it wasn't sitting on the floor next to the other cars, but was rather elevated above others, and when I got up on the ramp it seemed to sit low to the ground.

CLS500=58K
CLS55 =82K

Is that right?

How does that compare with the pricing of the E Class?

C-Class
Thumbs up

the CLS 350 is about 9000€ more than an E320, but 10.000€ less than an S350. i think that is a good middle.

and the CLS500 is a full 6000€ cheaper than an BMW 645i.

Hey my friend

I didnt see the pano roof option on the pricelist sorry, it would have been thhe ultimate car if it indeed had that option.

As for the CLS65, i have no idea, 55 first and maybe the 63 to repace all 55's later.

But that i think will happen only 4 years down the line when it gets a Facelift and i wonder if this car would even need a facelift?

Hey, wait a minute!

There's nothing mentioned in that price list about 4Matic, is there?

I doubt you'll see awd on the car, unless there's some major noise for it. MB doesn't put awd on any of its coupes, though they all can have it, as they're all based on some sedan with the capability (packaging considerations aside). MB is trying to make people view the CLS as they would a coupe- i.e. as much a toy, automotive fashion/jewelry as anything else. Putting a coupe-style grill and not offering awd is just another reinforcement of that concept. (and yes, I am aware that the ML has the big star in the grill, rather than on top, but that's a bit of a special case)
