What triggers the power window to close that last little bit when the door closes?

Is there a micro switch somewhere, a sensor? What triggers this little movement?
I have looked inside the lock and central lock unit. Could not find a switch there.
Is there a motion sensor inside the controle module of the door?
Is there a principle that is used for all of MB Coupes?

This function is performed by the door control module. But it will only perform the function if the window has been normalized.... meaning is knows when to stop when closing and opening.

Well that is a given...but what is actually triggering that module, what in-signal tells the DCM to perform the lowering of the window.
If I try to close the other front door, to the first snap of the lock, nothing happens. If I then pushes the door into the final snap and the body panels become flush, the window closes the final 15mm.
What is giving the DCM the signal...?
I took out the lock mechanism from the door. Took it apart and could not find any sensor...

When the door lock is fully seated, there is a micro switch that tells the DCM that the door is fully closed.

Does it sit in the lock or on the upholstry part of the door?
The only thing inside the lock was the central lock motor and two cables that connected to it.

Synchronize affected window if this fails you will need someone with Xentry (MB diagnostics) to erase stored codes and initialize or re-buffer basic data.

Thank you everyone for helping out. I have repaired the window actuator on the right front door, it is programmed before all of theese posts. It works fine... I simply wanted know exactly how the movement works...

You answered "there is a micro switch". Exactly where is that mounted?
Kindly Mikael

im sure you found it but near the actual locking hinge of the door there is a small black plastic piece that pops out and can be pushed in. that tell the car if the door is “closed” or not
