Engine Mounts

Hi all, i have a 2006 320 cdi and changed my 16 year old original engine mounts with Lemforder last year. In the last weeks and after 10k km i started to feel that awefull skaking when cold and feel in
the steering wheel too. Changed the control arms yesterday with a friend and he looked at the mounts and said yes they need replacement. Should i go Original again even if the price is 3 times more or do you recommend another brand i can go for.

How can they need replacing already within a year? Are they leaking? Where they mounted correctly?

I also put Lemforder in not too long ago, and they feel smoother than the Meyle engine mounts + MeyleHD gearbox mount I replaced them with in my CLS55. Even though the Meyle felt ok, I replaced the Meyle mounts after seeing the experiences on the well known M539 Restorations Youtube channel.

Tks for the reply, and yes there are signs of leaking and they are 1 year old. I claimed them yesterday on autodoc and reveived a refund email today from them. Original ones are around € 130 but i guess i will go for them as my friend told me, he works at a MB dealership and he tried several brands and none last longer than the original ones. There maybe some diference as mine is a diesel engine and yours a petrol.

Diesel has other vibration characteristics indeed. Damn, they should not be leaking within 1 year indeed. Did you also replace the gearbox mount when you replaced them?

Are you sure you you had the correct partnr?

[edit]
I see that the diesel variant is another engine mount (other partnr) compared to the CLS55.

According to parts site, this should be correct for 320CDI

Some things are best bought original, I also learned that the hard way. For instance, the rocker cover gaskets. I started with Febi, then Viktor Reinz and when I bought them OE MB, they finally stopped leaking...

Likewise, I replaced control arms last year. The big black ones were still factory..., the thrust arms were aftermarket
