'99 and '05 E55 AMG
Mercedes warrantied the SBC system for 25 years recently. My then 17-year old E55 had the SBC system repaired for free at the local Mercedes dealership and I'm the third owner.
ND-Photo.nl had his 2005 CLS55 SBC system recently repaired under warranty in the Netherlands. He hangs in the W219 AMG sub-forum.

You need to get it inspected at an official MB dealer. They will diagnose it according to a script and validate the repair with MB Germany. Mine was replaced earlier this year with a new one under extended warranty, so no costs involved. @UncleBenz55 had his SBC pump replaced in his E55 maybe 1 or 2 year earlier than me.
Please don't make the same mistake as I did and keep on driving with it and then lose assisted braking doing 60mph on the highway. Also don't do a counter reset using some (cheap) tool.
I'm the 6th owner btw
