Gas Mileage

I think it's about 13-15 city and 18-20 highway. Not too bad!

Really like your new car.
The more I see the CLS the more I like it.
How does it feel with the 5 litre engine.

Engine

This car is AWESOME! I had a Saab and this just blows that one away. Consider no other alternatives. The power and acceleration are tremendous. This is the one!!!!!

Not to bad?! My Escalade got 13-15 in the city.. I figured the CLS would do better on gas since it has the 7 spd tranny.

I'm sure those are pictures that a person took of him in front of his new car and he posted them there so people could see the car. Nice car!

Car looks great in pewter! But I dont see any mention of a charcoal interior being offerd in the brochure. Might you mean black or ash?

Hi Guys.
My average gas mileage for the past two weeks has been 17/18 mpg city.
22mpg on hwy driving between 70 & 90 mph.
Going from orlando to miami I have spent just a little less than half a tank the distance between the two towns is 225 miles.
I also noticed that one spend less gas driving in city by setting the trany on comfort insted of sport.

unless u made it past 1k, not suppose to drive above 80 or use sport trany mode during break in...per the manual.

I've never been too concerned about breaking those break-in rules as long as you're not ridiculous about it. My CLS will make a Beverly Hills to Dallas trip when brand-new, and you better believe I'm going to break 80 (if I ever go below it). Crazy acceleration and redlining aren't on the agenda, though. I'm leasing mine for 2 years so the long-term effects aren't a consideration, but I also want to treat the car right until she has a couple thousand miles on her. Then all hell breaks loose. :-)
