Does anyone know if the exhaust sound is identical for both cars and the other 53 models?

Thanks,
Donovan

That's a good question. I wish I knew the answer.

I think the only variable is sport exhaust. In sport plus with sport exhaust you hear fairly loud burping and pops. I am not sure if it is synthetic or real but it sounds good inside the car.

It would be interesting to find the answer, its a good question... I wonder what the "sport" difference between these two cars is, as there is a significant delta in price. Not sure the GT53 has hit any streets yet though? There are some vids on youtube and from the videos it sounds almost similar, not very loud actually.

Both cars are supposedly on the E platform and should have the same performance.

I test drive a month ago a cls 53 that had sport exhaust and it was great sounding . I test drove a amg gt 53 with sport exhaust and with it on , the sound was little less intense than cls 53 . I am not sure why or if my demo car was different . The handling on amg gt 53 was better than cls 53 , more nimbler

btw, I hate this silly test drives with car sales Person and you cannot get to drive them and get a good feel for handling sound etc

‘’IMO, amg gt 53 looks more sportier , nicer interior center console but only 4 seats which I am ok as middle one is really uncomfortable . I might get one in white with red black interior

The platform has nothing to do with the exhaust sound.

Where did you see or hear that the CLS and GT are on an E platform?

The sales person should not be allowing potential customers to drive the car like a hot rod. There's a huge sticker on the windshield talking about the break in period on AMG cars.

I wish it wasn't that way.

I own a GT53 WITH amg performance exhaust in USA. My buddy has an E53 coupe WITHOUT performance exhaust. After both going to take out resonators. We found only difference is that my resonators were already deleted. Hope this helps
