Driver window won't open

Driver window won't open
My drivers side window will not open. It will drop a 1/4" when you open the door. This happened once before and the dealer fix it under warranty. The car no longer has a warranty. Any suggestions to reset it? That was what the dealer did.

First close all doors then have accessory mode on then close the windows. Once it stops release and then pull the switch up like you normally CLOSE the windows for 5 second, make sure to pull it beyond resistance (in other words if you have not noticed already if you slightly pull it and then you pull it harder there is a click, that is called beyond resistance). Then try OPENING the windows by pushing down and beyond resistance and try holding it for 5 seconds as well.

Thanks for the reply and procedure. I tried that before posting. It turned out I had to bring it to the dealer they reset the window through the OBD port. For some reason the windows lost its memory. This happened once before. 2 dealers neither new why it happened. I was wondering if a product like (Carly) would be able to fix it or something like it.

I wish I had a indy here instead of the dealership. I just changed dealers after the last shorted me 2qts of oil the last time i had them change it. The old one told me I had to wait 1 month for a appointment with a loaner. Needless to say I went to MB across from my BMW dealership they did my service and window the next day, only because I didn't have the car with me.

it was okawathe light came on when I pulled into my garage. They delivered oul to me after i called them and *****ed about it. They also didnt like the survey i left them. I got a wheel alignment and complete detail out of them. I didn't get a chance to correct it as I was waiting for the work to be completed before doing so. They closed it out before hand. Dumbasses.
