Two of my local dealers here in the SF Bay area are supposed to be receiving one each of their pre-sold cars. One is for the owner of a dealership and the other is from an order where the customer backed out. Coincidentally they are both black on black non-Edition 1 cars. I am waiting to confirm my order (recent build slot) until I actually get to see one in person for the first time.
Another dealer here in the bay area has told me that there is excess inventory in the east for cars that are not yet sold. I went through a few of them with the SA and many were pretty loaded up with options but none that really matched what I am looking for.

Cars have been sitting at ports for past 1+mos
Launch cars have no CCBs and silly wings, etc....so crap spec of some idiot in marketing
Eastern US dealers can't sell the damn things and trying to move them into BH/SF mkts to find the impatient affluent crowd
EU already has easy availability of cars at major discts
Smells like a marketing debacle in the works no matter alleged engineering competence of car vs 991TTS (a fairly easy target given ineptitude of P engineers)...but a rather difficult marketing target given the cultist behavior of most buyers of perf cars

I am one of the " idiots" who will soon be receiving their Edition I - the "crap" car specced by marketing bozos with no ccbs and silly wings.
As they say "one person's trash is another person's treasure".
I have followed the development of this automobile for almost 2 years, and have driven it compliments of MB on a track on the West Coast. I can't tell you how excited I will be to receive the call from my dealer that my car is here.
Each dealer is only getting one Edition 1. I would very much like to know where there are "unsold" Edition 1's standing around, I definitely would think of those as a business opportunity.

'15 T&C & '14 SL63
Stopped by Huntington and saw one yesterday. They had just taken it off the truck. It was still in transport mode, had white plastic in places and had the paper covers on everythign inside. Still got to have a sit and look around. From outside it looks like it has horrible blind spots ala FType coupe... but once inside they aren't so bad.
One thing I noticed... it would have been sooo easy to square up the back just a tiny bit and then it wouldn't scream "I'm trying to look like a Porsche". I really wish they hadn't gone ahead with this shape. It doesn't kill the car... but it the biggest glaring negative and it would have been so easy to avoid.
Dealer says it's sold. It'll be prepped an gone in 2 days. The next one coming is a dealer build and it's sold too. So I guess I was lucky to catch one in person :-)

1 - have you taken delivery already, mine seams to be stuck at port.
2- yes I would love CCB but did not know it can get retrofitted. How realistic is that and any idea on cost to do so.
