Good news today registering my new Edition 1 with MBrace.
As of July all MY 2016 will get 5 years MBRACE free. So, I signed up for the six months offer which will get rolled over in July to the new 5 year program.

Same thing for other models. 2016 S-class for example.Originally Posted by boilerup1998

It's about time...

I just realized that it might need to be set up; I was thinking it was an automatic feature this time around. Anyone know?

So, I just got off the phone with the mBrace customer center and they said there is no program in place for 5 years of free mBrace for 2016 models. There's something called "M Connect" that they are going to launch later this summer. They weren't able to expand on the details. So, for now I'm keeping my free 6 month trial of mBrace and dropping the *Plus and Apps after my 3 month trial.
We will just have to wait and see what happens I guess...

Call your salesman or bring the car back to the dealership and let them set it up.Originally Posted by boilerup1998

It's not a matter of setting it up. I have had it set up since the day I bought the car. It's the cost of the subscription, which is about $28 per month once the six month free trial runs out. I drive my car

I just picked up my Edition 1 a couple hours ago and the deal is five years free for all 2016s per my salesperson. Free is a good price.

Congrats on the purchase Patric. You won't regret it.
Not trying to get into a pissing war guys, but like I said, I was on the phone with mBrace today, and they had not heard of the five years free. I had the customer rep get her supervisor on the phone and he confirmed with me that he did not have any knowledge of five years free. Sales people tend to say a lot of things that they have heard through the grapevine or to make deals appealing, but it doesn't make it true. Hopefully, it is true and we all get five years free. Otherwise, it's really not that big a deal to me and I still have a kick *** car that hopefully never needs the services of mBrace.
Cheers!

5 years Mbrace is included on 2016 models. Calling Mbrace and talking to a customer service rep means nothing. Those people only know the script like every other call center. Had the pleasure of confirming that over the years. Originally Posted by boilerup1998

You already have Mbrace activated. By the time the CC would be charged, the program should be established and a non-issue.

2016 models for free = well known
I called the higher up's and he told me that they are still transforming their process from a credit card to free so for now I would have to pay and then the card would be reimbursed (if the free trial period had passed and card took a hit). Or, I could check back in August to see if they had their processes updated. I have had bad experiences with MBrace and unauthorized charges in the past so I will just wait until their systems are ready to process 2016 models for free.
