Sounds about right--- I love the OEM black forged versions and the spacers make them sit where it should have from the factory.

i went with 15mm rear and 12mm front. Wish i went with 10mm for the front instead. The Hub Centric ring broke off on the 12mm

Front 12MM: H&R TRAK+ Wheel Spacers Part #: 2455665
Rear 15MM: H&R TRAK+ Wheel Spacers Part #: 3055665

whoaaa and thats an H&R part. Eric at Supreme told me his spacers are even stronger. How did that happen? If its hubcentric there should not have been that type of pressure on the spacer snout???

12MM was a little too aggressive and the hub ring on the H&R is very thin to stand the pressure of heavy steering.

Yeah but thats my question, the pressure should not be there. With a hubcentric spacer the force/pressure is all on the axle and hub. No spacer ring is ever to be the part holding the pressure or ALL of them would break. That little piece of metal is not meant to hold wheels in place- the sheer weight of the car and the tq would snap it. I guess my point is that that spacer was probably incorrectly mounted or the wheel was to the spacer.

You are 100% correct. The spacer was too thick which pushed the hub ring further out (as you can see in the photo) which it doesn't have the support of the factory axel hub so the wheels were actually sitting on the H&R HUB instead. Maybe only 1mm of the axel hub was supporting the spacer.

Going 10mm or less will have more axel hub protrude out to support the H&R hub ring so that it wont snap.

Thanks brother, I would use Erics (Supreme) spacers as they are supposedly made even stronger than H&R...

Damn thats not good. Sorry to hear. I was on the verge of going 12mm. The only reason i didn't was because the company i use didn't have them in stock.

Appreciate all input here. Changed my order as a result and probably saved me alot of time for me and other owners here.

Thx all.

Hey Fozi,
Is that 10mm spacer really hubcentric? Do you happen to have the P/N?

Ive had all kinds of HC spacers on all kinds of cars. Never seen that before. I would have to put them on myself to believe there wasnt something wrong with fitment. Or conclude that there is a mfg defect.
First question would be the torque you put on the lugs

And the one most forget when adding spacers: how many turns does each lug NOW have (you want 6 or more I think) or did one get extended lugs. If one doesn't have enough turns the lugs will bear too much pressure and snap as well.

Also for the masses, different cars have different hub snouts so while H&R makes a universal benz spacer it wont always work on certain cars. Case in point: On my C63S the 10mm H&R spacer does not sit flush on the hub because of the snout length on the coupe. The only ones I was able to source was 15mm and a greater so the OEM hub sat inside the spacer center housing. I run 10mm spacers on my Black Series with no issues so its about the car

the 66.5 center bore should be the right one, unless the gts has different parts, it is for MB. fit to the hub should be right and to the wheel center should be right. If the lugs are right and the torque was right, it should have been fitted as all others in the world. So after that it had to be mfg defect. otherwise all the others in the world would be broken

Its definitely hubcentric John, I wouldn't use anything else. it just wouldn't make sense. I don't have the part number to hand but i'll get it for you no problem. I went for blk spacers with matching bolts as my wheels are blk.

Thanks guys. I went with the black spacers on the back and now will get a pair for the front- you guys motivated me. The back looked a lot worse than the front, i thought.

Of course I ordered 15mm longer kug bolts to match the rear spacers. And now that Ill get 10mm for the front, i decide to check if I could use the same bolts. So I screwed in a bolt from my rear into my front with no spacer, assuming 15mm protrusion out the back. I free-hand rotated the wheel with it straight, turned all left and turned all right. No issues. Apparently lots of room for lug bolts.

So this means I can run the same bolts all around even with different spacers.

So I thought I would double check before ordering....

How on earth are you guys running nubcentric 10mm spacers on the front?? My hub protrudes 12.6mm, so by my math it should be sticking through the spacer by almost 3mm. H&R claims a max hub depth of 9mm for the spacer.

Did you guys grind your hubs?

I can see why Turbo Tonys 12mm spacer failed- the hub is longer than the spacer is thick, so it would have popped when the kugs were torqued.

I found this pic online

6 turns is good but remember if the bolt is too long you wont be able to move the car once its on the ground.

you can measure the amount of thickness a hub is. stick a small pick/anything in the threads and feel how deep they go, mark the pick and measure it. Usually 10mm . So 30mm lug gets about 10mm threads in the hub and 20mm outside
Then you can stick a long pick into the hub and feel whats interfearing or how deep. Usually theres alot of free room on fronts and less on rear, with internal park brake its very little

I ran H&R Trak before without any issue..

First thanks for the info, I wish to order and wasn't sure about the spacing, but I think in my case Ill just order 10mm all around just to keep it neat and clean...

However, My GTS has black bolts which look a bit different and thats my only hangup. I believe the factory lugs are 17mm long correct? last time I ordered 25mm spacers I had to order 45mm lugs...

any help would be appreciated..

Thanks!

Which Lugs?

So I called ECS to order bolts and they said they have non that fit. I am having a hard time finding bolts that fit.

I'm going with the H&R spacers 10mm f and 15mm rear. Can anyone provide a link or pn# to the bolts that actually fit with 0 issues?

Thank you in advance!!

As I stated in my post, you can put a 15mm too long bolt on your stock wheels and the spin freely.

The hubs on our cars are 12.6mm or so long. I have no idea how anyone can run a spacer smaller than 15mm succesfully, unless it does not have a hubcentric design, or it is really thin to allow the hub to protrude through.

I think the 10mm spacers (and 12) appear problematic.

The stock lug bolts are 2 piece fancy things. You wont find long versions of these, I bet, but the lug bolts for a C63 from H&R, for instance, work fine.
