After waiting 8 mo dealer screws up order
Oh no!
After waiting 8 mo my car is here, except it's not my car. Theme of car is black. Night package, black forged rims, black diamond interior. Dealer made a mistake and ordered chrome interior. 😩 In general, I hate chrome interiors, and it really sticks out the way this car is optioned with black theme. I dont think i can live with it, especially when shelling out over $150k. When i ordered the car there were few GTs available, there are many more on line now. I think i will get my deposit back and find a car i can live with, rather than wait for a rebuild. Oh well...

Interesting, did your dealer put in the correct option code to start with?
When I ordered my GTS in late Oct I wanted the black diamond with no carbon as well. Ordering system took the order but factory came back 2days afterward and said not available (dealer was told a parts availability issue) and defaulted to the std silver trim. After a week of trying the dealer was able to get the black diamond and matte carbon trim package through the ordering process, so it might have been the black door inserts that were a shortage.
The dealer covered the cost of the matte carbon as I didn't want it to start with.
My car arrives next Tuesday or Wed, hopefully everything is correct.

sorry about that, I agree about the trim, that isn't a good one! Did the dealer admit to the mistake? or was it one of those "Mercedes Benz reserves the right to make changes..." BS things? I couldn't agree more about not wanting the car, especially after waiting so damn long! there may be some advantage to getting a better deal? for the 'mistake'?

Doubt it. I have sat in other AMG vehicles with the piano black trim and it's a fingerprint magnet as well. I think any black trim, while beautiful, will get dirty really quickly.
