Honestly, I like it... racing feel and a good offset to the calipers, rear tails, and interior.
How hard is the install? I remember the day when I had to paint my tires on my 2009 GTR to get the same look but you have a lot more going on with the striping as well.

I like it so much I will probably steal your idea. It looks great.
Would you mind sharing where you got them?
I am wondering how it will hold up when you have to clean your tires though. I pressure wash my wheels and that would probably be an issue lol.
Regarding the grill, it's a tough call. I did it on mine and like it but my car is not black. You could always plastidip it and if you don't like it, no big deal and peel it off. If you do like it then go ahead and paint it.

The install took about a day, they had to "sand" and smoothen the rest of the lettering that already came on the tires, after that one of their guys have a technique where the groove the tire (where the tire stickers will be sitting in the tire as well as the stripes) for a perfect fit. They just took their time with the Michelin logo, they wanted to have equal spaces between each word which they did perfectlyOriginally Posted by Vic55

I actually like the breakup, the rims on the GTS when in black look small and since the letterings are kept somewhat in the center of the tire, it gives it a slightly larger look

Thanks mate! of course go ahead, im glad you guys likeed the idea, always did want to go with red lettering but one of my project cars had red wheels, so it would have looked really weird with red letters!Originally Posted by emericr

I got the tire stickers from www.tredwear.com they took a few days to have them shipped out to Bahrain. You can customize literally whatever you want on your tires
As for cleaning the tires, i have used the pressure wash a few times but i didn't keep them directly pointed on the lettering. And yeah, you cant shine your tires anymore (Thats what i was told, but i still do apply some shine where the actual tire is)
Hope this helps!

Love it on old school American cars. Also on track cars.
Not sure I love it on a Benz.

I absolutely love this. I also love your wheels. Did you have those painted? Or were you able to order the gloss black finish from factory?

My son says "Sick!"
My girlfriend says "horrible"
And I like it. I was thinking of something similar on my GTS which i will pick up tomorrow or Friday. I was thinking white letters though so I didn't have to worry about color matching.

Does one kit come with two words for the one tyre or is a kit only one word?
Same with the stripes, one kit two stripes?
Looks really good!

Unfortunately, I saw one car who had those in white for a little while and they do not look too good anymore.

I wonder if the owner simply hasn't care for it. According to tirestickers website "The Permanent Raised Rubber Letter kits are designed to be cleaned after discoloring from rain, tire shine, snow, dirt, etc. This can be done using a standard whitewall cleaning agent, dirt and oil remover or acetone / rubbing alcohol."

I am sure they can be cleaned up but just think about it. It is a just sticker that is being subject to wind, rain and sun and there is simply no way the edges are going to stay as sharp as new and cleaning it gently will be difficult

since they are raised rubber letters, the only way i could actually "clean" them up was detergent and a tooth brush. And i would do it once a month to have them clean

Well it was cool ill be honest for a while, but i kinda got bored of it. I mean it will look damn sexy with a car with a kick *** diffuser and larger/non oem rims, a large rear wing, more of a track oriented look. Would i do it again? I wouldnt with a stock looking GTSOriginally Posted by emericr

the guy who installed them had a different process for intalling the tire stickers. He basically "carves" the area where the stickers will be installed so they can basically "sit" into the tire itself, and had sanded the entire tire wall so nothing else would show except for the stickers.
Only thing i missed was having the tires shiny and glossy after a good wash, with fhe tire stickers you arent supposed to add any form of tire shine

i went a bit further and blacked out every grey thing on the car including front grill, door handles, emblems, etc. or really matches the matte vinyl protection wrap well. I also like the red wheel decals, but probably too much with my red wheels.
