Tracking the GT really demonstrated how that new rearend hooks up with the DCT. We had some fast laps and then....slow poke comes out
I have to say one bit of advice. The track managers want groups of 4 GTs to follow lead and if you have a weak link driver it's a total fail as the lead guy will slow to keep group intact.
In retrospect, I would not have joined that group because of that driver. There were times when she was not at all in rear view and we had to slow to ridiculous speeds.
Otherwise great energy from staff and the SL class was a hoot with the torque on the track.
Peace.

I would agree with ROMEO that one driver in a group can make or break it. I really liked our instructors, but they need to have a more objective way to evaluate each driver, so that when it comes to the "follow the leader" laps in the afternoon in the GTs, the better drivers are grouped together. I was getting compliments throughout the morning on each module, then I get grouped with the slower group in the afternoon?? It almost ruined the day for me because I really wanted to push myself during those laps, but I felt like I was driving slower than I was in the morning! The instructors recognized that during that laps and let me be the lead person (behind the instructor) the whole time. They knew I was a little p'd about being in the group, and they tried to make it up to me by going faster. There were points when we could even see the other 2 cars behind us. To reinforce things, I kicked but during the autocross competition. There was only one other person in the group that had a similar time to mine.
I think that I caught the bug though, and I am planning to do the Advanced Course soon!

I had a 30.00 on auto cross. You?
I had a 30.36. On my best time I missed the stopping point in the box, so the time didn't count. Grrrr! I believe the winner on the day had a 30.14. We were the last group of the day to do the course. The top 3 people on the day were in the first group. I can't help but think that hot engines, hot brakes, and more worn tires made times worse later in the day. Maybe not, and I'm just a sore loser, but just my thoughts :-)
That's cool Jose. Let us know how that Club works.
