2016 AMG GTS Price and Thoughts
I have a '16 C63 AMG S with only 4,300 miles on but i'm looking at trading already (I get a new car/amg about every year or less).
I've been eyeing the GTS for quite some time now. I know it's almost double the price, but I've driven both on a the track and the GTS is unreal.
Any thoughts would be great, anyone have any input on negotiating price? I'm looking into this one below, but it's odd it has had two owners in such a short period of time.![report](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/report.gif)
Anyone out there have their drive shaft changed?![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)

The carfax does not show any service requests but to be prudent, I would get the VIN number and call the dealer to get history on it.
It seems to me that the sale in FL may not have gone thru properly and the dealer took the car back.
GTS have been holding their price really well. You may not be able to negotiate much (a few thousands) but you should focus on your trade allowance and get the most out of it.
Good luck

Thanks guys. I spoke with the dealer, it was one of the cars effected by the drive shaft recall and they're waiting on Germany for the fix. The two owners apparently buy amg's like most people buy a pair of shorts. I've heard of one of the guys i meat at the AMG driving academy had the issue with the drive shaft as well, got stuck on the side of the road and had to have it towed. Kind of scares me away for a car double the price of mine!

It only affects about 135 cars...
Don't let the few people that had a bad experience ruin your wish to get a GT.
Maybe a used one is not the right way.
I agree it sucks to have issues with a car costing this kind of $$ but they gambled with a first year model. I did it myself once and swore I would never do it again. That's the reason why I patiently waited and ordered a 2017 which is a 3rd year production car. Manufacturers do fix issues and it just takes them time so.

Stay away from the GTS. It is a demon. People on this forum that don't even own one have problems all the time. The longer you do not own one at all, the more problems you have with it.
