G force display on amg gts

Hello everyone,

ive seen a nice g force display on a 2016 c63s edition 1 that is available in the media console in the center. however i could not find it on my 2015 gts. does anyone know a trick on how to pull it out. i remmember a trick i used on my old 2013 c63 where i pulled out the g force screen from a hidden engineering menu but its not applicable here as there are no numpads to do the trick.

it's in the AMG set up screen, just keep hitting the down or up button

Mercedes-AMG GTS 2015
Hi,

I was also looking for the G-forces display under the AMG menu, but cannot seem to find it. My GTS is an early build, ex-showroom car of MY 2015.
Could it be that the G-forces display is not yet on MY 2015 cars, but only from MY 2016 on?

Thanks!

FWIW: You can't possibly have a 2015 GTS. The first model year was 2016.

Actually, there was a 2015 in Europe.

Delivered in 2015 and a 2016 model OR 2015 as you mentioned.

I'll have to go back to the early magazine and test articles.

Interesting piece of trivia.......

I seem to remember that the first cars did not have it....that cars manufactured before some point in early summer 2015 had a somewhat different interface in the features buried down in the AMG section. And some features were missing. And, if I remember correctly, it could not be changed with a software update. If it's not "baked in" it's not available. This is one of the deficiencies of most automobile software engineering. Features can't be added. That's why we don't get CarPlay.

The car was manufactured in February 2015 and was on display in the dealer's showroom for more than a year until I bought it. So it is indeed an early-build and has option code 16P meaning it was a showroom unit. Could be that all AMG GTS without this code 16P were designated as MY2016.

The dealer told me the car has the latest SW available for its VIN, which is in line with your explanation. Thanks!

Anybody else who can confirm this, and is e.g. missing the G-forces display? My car is actually also missing the ME connect services. I got a ME adapter for the OBD port, but that one does not recognize the car...

Hi, yeah I have an early production 2016 Edition 1 and have never seen the G force display. Where do I look for it?

It's in the AMG menu in a sub-menu that is a sibling to the AMG displays (with engine oil and transmission oil temperatures) and RACETIMER.

Funny that the US manual in my link above does not show it (and is identical to what I have on my car), while the UK manual shows it (scroll down a bit, below traffic assist display)...
