Smile My AMG GT - Better Late than Never

Finally "unboxed" my GT yesterday afternoon, as the car was container shipped from the factory.

Classic Silver/Red/Black and spec is basically everything, save the surround version of Burmeister and more carbon.

How close to the side......

Quick PDI.....

First wash and prep left for me.....

Nice balance of silver and black.....

Satin chrome window trim is nice and very subtle on a silver car.....

And the interior, with nice alcantara headlining and carbon trim.....

Already have over a 100-miles completed and really looking forward to bonding with this fine machine from AMG

Nice color choice, and nice rims! Any regrets for not getting the new facelift?

Thank you

Re FL, originally yes, but more out of principal, as I had been told via the factory, no FL in 2017...... while this is apparently MY17 changes

Now, not at all, reasons being:

- the original is much more in keeping with how I specced the car ... classic lines, classic colour and some chrome detailing.

- if I was going magno with aero pack and night pack, then for sure the meaner more aggressive front is a winner.

My car was ordered in November and due in February, but then logistics wranglings held it up for 7-weeks. Any factory orders for my market are now FL and there are already 2-guys wanting pre FL

Thanks

Car came to the importer in Cyprus.

Should have come in a single car truck, via sea, then driven to the dealer for unloading ...... just like the rest of Europe:

As always, my car was the special case, with all before.... and most probably all after coming in a truck

One of my first reflections on how the GT drives is in relation to steering sensitivity.

Is it fair to say the GT's agility includes an inherent "feeling" of dartyness and twitchiness to steering input?

I didn't notice this as a passenger, but as the driver is my but feeling more lateral swing, due to how far back you sit in the chassis?

I'm sure its just a matter of time to recalibrate, but just wanted to ask!

Noticed you had ventilated seats as well.

Steering is fast. I keep tire pressure at 31 cold and sit all way back. Turn in is quick so steering seems inline with that after a couple weeks.

Congrats! I love that color combo; as well as the "euro spec" AMG seats. They are much more comfortable!

Ya it's important to have the tires set at a good number and evenly, and check with a gauge once in awhile
Nice car, I've got the same colours, wheels, carbon, etc on my 2016
