2018 vs 2017 Front Bumper Parts Diagram OBTAINED!
Alright guys so I got the parts diagrams for the 2018 GTC vs 2017 and earlier GTS and have pasted them side by side. The parts that are shaded according to MB are the ones that DO NOT APPLY to that bumper (not sure why MB still keeps those numbers though). Not sure why the 2018 grille is not included on this parts diagram but here you go:

I went to the MB dealer today and they had a 2018 with the new grille. I have to say after seeing it again for the second time I was not as impressed as the first time. I do think now the 2017 and earlier front ends actually look better. I have a feeling if we switch to the new front end we may end up regretting it.

Aero front looks better.
Now let's talk about getting fatter rear bumper curious to know GTC rear end bumper is same as GTR. I would bet it's less wide.

Not sure but looks like the GTC rear bumper which looks like the GTR rear bumper will fit the GT/S based on the MB dealer diagram and the GTC rear bumpers are in stock nationwide.

The GTR... It just works, big rear fin matches wider bumper with vents. Deeper front intakes matches sad face grill (to an extent).

Look at any classic car. Pure facelifts have not necessarily translated into enhanced collectability.
Given the relatively short production run of the '16/17's, I wouldn't be surprised if their more understated appearance ages pretty well over time.

Not the GTR front bumper but the GTC bumper should fit since the fenders on the 2018 GTV are the same as the 2017 GT/s

Actually, I miss stated my question. I bought one of the first GTA Roadsters to hit the market. I love the GT "C" Roadster rear end with the vents. I assume the rear bumper from the "C" would be a bolt on to the GT "A". I am interested to know cost of the bumper and install.

The back of the GTC is wider and I believe the rear arches stick out further (you can see it on the top down diagram view) so I would say no.
From the current brochure: (Note that the 2018 GT/GTS dimensions seem to be basically identical to the Gen 1 cars - see bottom pic).

Rear bumper swap
I am definitely on a mission to change the rear bumper on my 2017 GTS to the one on the new 2018 GTC. Dealer still can't confirm, has anyone gotten any further?

would you really change the bumper? This would require a body shop to attempt to paint the rear bumper in matte paint, and to match the factory job on the rest of the car.

I feel the same way. I like the new rear bumper and not too crazy about the front. Will post pics when it's all figured out. I was hoping someone else would have gotten further info.

Visually, and from the dimensions I linked previously it seems that the rear arches themselves are wider on the GTC vs the GTS. Your mission is a tough one if this is actually the case!
