Anyone else have a gap between the trunk lid and the rear bumper?

i just saw this today and it seems like a pretty good gap. I could see the aluminum sill from behind. I checked around the pictures of other GT cars and some have it and some don't.

The bumper, lenses and trunk seems to be all inline and perfect.

Anyone else have this problem?

Looks EXACTLY like mine and a GTC boot I was looking at a few days back. There is a fair bit of movement in the hatch when driving and I suspect the gap is to cope with this. I've checked if there is any adjustment in the striking plate on mine but it was at full adjustment.

Ah.. I can see xbox beat me to it and referred to the thread where we were discussing this very thing

I saw a white GTS yesterday in a dealer's lot. The boot gap was very tight, looked like a normal panel gap really. There was a blue GTC cab in the showroom which had a very large gap, at least as wide as the one on mine. Whilst a large gap seems to be "normal" for these cars it's a bit annoying especially when you can see the aluminium sill piece on the inside. Having now looked at both the lock itself and the striking plate there is no way mine could be adjusted further unless the striking plate was slotted or re-made.

Mine has the same issue. I find the trunk doesn't latch properly. If I close the trunk harder it will close deeper. I am taking it to the dealer.

Mine generally shuts fine with a decent shove but let us know what the dealer says Flynpch.
