2018 GT Base missing heated seats

Where the buttons SHOULD be
I just purchased an AMG GT from a dealer and the sticker shows heated/ventilated seats, however they are not installed.

Anyone have experience with what I should do to fix the issue? I did not notice this wasn't installed as it is summer and not urgently needed, but I am very annoyed as I live in the Midwest, I will really want these come December...

I have contacted the dealer and he said they are "opening a ticket" but I have no idea what that means.

Any thoughts/advice/suggestions/experience would be greatly appreciated

Was the option listed on your invoice?

Really odd omission.

I haven't even seen the ventilated seats yet. Are yours perforated?

Build very similar to mine. That's no base car

But they blew it on seats. Where would ventilate seat buttons be?

Nice spec!

I didn't think any of the 2018's had made it out into the wild?

So seat heating and ventilation are under front vents on console, or is this convertible?

looks like a pano roof to me. The 2018 model has the seat setting above as shown.

I do believe the seats are correct and pre-wired but the wrong button assembly is installed.

My bad The OP had posted the button assembly where the buttons are supposed to be.
Since I have only been in a 2018 roadster I am not able to take a pic and haven't found any online either.

Were you able to resolve this? I just noticed I may have the same issue with my car missing the buttons for the front seat climate control

Same situation here! So strange! I'll have to ask the dealer. It appears the seats are equipped but the buttons are missing! It shows right on the window sticker that the car is equipped.

my dealer’s not really sure what happened and they think the car likely has the equipment as per the build sheet, but may have had the wrong buttons installed. Either way, they have escalated it and have assured me that the correct buttons will be installed or if need be, the heating / ventilation systems and buttons will be installed at some point in the near future

Update Nov 30th... took car to a different dealer and put some pressure on them to resolve the issue. They didn't seem too phased and simply ordered a new control panel with the proper switches installed. Has a three day lead time so will know by the weekend if it truly is as easy a fix as that. The dealer who sold me the car "has calls into regional managers" etc but are probably just screwing around.

Would be a great result and pretty smart on the 2nd dealers part!

Definitely keep us updated. Mine is getting stored for the winter soon, so will be a spring resolution, though it would be nice to be able to explain to my dealer what was done to resolve yours.

A question about the reverse situation. Isn't it just cheaper to build every car with every option (or most options) but only allow access to the options people pay for?

OP: did you confirm if the seats do in fact have the internal components? It's fairly easy to tell in most models if there are fans under the seat cushions from underneath.

Probable that the seats include the heating element, but the bigger question would be how generic the wiring looms are.

You don't often see redundant connectors just waiting for the hardware to be added, as they are typically highly option specific.

I wonder if this was a situation where there was a temporary parts shortage and cars were assembled without the feature even though it had been ordered. Normally a bulletin would've been issued so the dealers were aware, I assume, but to have at least three people in this thread alone makes me think this wasn't an accident.

In any case, I've been following this thread and I don't even own a GT! Hope you guys get the issue resolved.
