Dinamica vs Leather
i know the Dinamica looks sportier . How durable is it and is it easy to maintain?
Is the Exclusive leather insert slippery or will I be planted in the seat?
Does the Dinamica breathe? Or will I be sweaty ?

After several cars with alcanterra, I avoid the material if possible. If it gets soiled and you have to clean it, the nap never looks quite the same. It feels good on a steering wheel, but to clean it requires moisture and mild cleaner. Then drying with microfiber. Then brush the nap and still looks like the "dogs breakfast", as Chris Harris would say.

Yeah and since you're going with bright yellow exterior, a boring all black interior would be my choice. I wouldn't do anything loud inside at all. No carbon fiber. I would go black nappa leather, piano trim and night interior pkg.

I live in Florida and prefer the Alcantara/dinamica on the seats as it does not heat up and rarely has contact with your skin..
I agree that the steering is not a great idea as it is in constant contact with your hands.
It is a bit more fragile than leather and time will tell how good it will hold on the seat. I have the upgraded interior with that stuff and love the look. This is my DD, 8K miles and still looks like new.

On a side note, I'm ordering a cla45 for daily driving duties and may go with dinamica inside. Putting leather in a cla45 adds around 3k and I'm not sure it's worth it.
The only thing I really want on the car is the dynamic package that includes amg adjustable suspension, race mode, and front lsd. I was also going to add performance exhaust, basically only go fast options.
So ive been really torn over this today because I'm not a fan of dinamica. I can afford to put the leather in. I just don't think it's worth it on this car. I really only want the performance options.

Dinamica costs more than leather . I like the change in texture in an all black car interior but there is already loads of Dinamica in the car: steering wheel, head liner, roller shade. I'd like to breAk it up with leather . All leather looks great especially if two tone. All black gets a little boring. Too bad they don't offer black leather with top stitching

Well my amg GT has nappa leather.
The cla45 comes with dinamica standard. To get leather it seems like you have to add 2 packages that are 1600 each.

Anyone have experience with Dinamica versus Alcantara? Are they identical?
i heard the alcantara pills. Is this the case with Dinamica? Are they both durable?

I just took delivery of a 2018 coupe with Dinamica. Much to my surprise it did not come with adjustable side bolsters and thigh supports. Dealer says it's not in the ordering guide as an option but the brochure and MBUSA specs page say they should be standard so I'm thoroughly confused and disappointed. I scoured auto trader.com and cars.com and looking at the pictures of base GT coupes with Dinamica, it appears to be true - buttons for side bolsters and thigh support adjustments only seem to be available on seats with leather. Also not sure if this is just for the standard seats or all seats with Dinamica. I know not something you were originally asking about but if you need to be able to adjust, something to consider perhaps.

The seats are extremely firm. They are freaking hard actually. It doesn't bother me unless I'm in the car all day. Maybe the diamond quilted leather inmproves comfort. I'm not sure because I have standard nappa.

I noticed as well when I went to the configurator that the base GT no longer has many options that the GTS has.
Back in 16 when ordering my 17 mode, other than red calipers and dynamic suspension, all other options were available like carbon fiber and higher seating options.
It appears that MB secretly downgraded the GT seats as mine has the same adjustments and seats as a GTS.
It looks like MB got smart as you could save about $10K by ordering a GT and adding GTS options (all you would miss was power which can easily be solved by a tune).

The material can get quite shinny with wear, and the shine is not so easy to remove from it vs leather.

That's why I ordered almost all of the options. I knew other models would need to be more exclusive in 18.

I ordered Exclusive Nappa Leather . I found out that it referred only to the door inserts and seat inserts and lower console.
Is the rest Leather? artico?
What about the Dinamica seats? Is the rest real or fake leather?
