How is it held on double sided 3M Tape? That stuff is really strong and durable!!
I used 3M side molding tape and prepping for the scoops along with 3M tape across the center factory carbon fiber chin splitter.
There are 4 attachment tabs to the under tray and 2 self tapping screws on the very outer edges of the wheel well.
The splitter comes with a good two part adhesive but they do not supply the applicator gun.... The only thing that pissed me off.
I did call and was told the double sided 3M tape would be ok for the scoops...
This is super light and thin carbon fiber so I did flow some epoxy into the leading edge to add some mass in case of the eventual scrape..
I did this with a low floor jack and a lot of wiggling around on the floor like a giant reptile...
You can do this by yourself but only with the double sided tape, if you tried this by yourself with the quickset adhesive it would be a mess to line things up before it goes off.
That's beautiful but I fear that 'eventual scrape' you mentioned!
Oh yeah, I did a lot of puckering in the mountains yesterday when a good size rock tumbled down in front of me and with great relief broke into 4 pieces I cleared without a scratch...
Now to install the side sills that just showed up...
You NEED that rear spoiler to keep the rear-end down to match the front!
The real reason for my choice of the front splitter is to add as much cooling air to the intercoolers and radiator at canyon speeds.
I really don't like add on boy racer wings an a car since they are just for looks.
The down force they add is at best minimal at canyon speeds and even less when cornering at those speeds in the real world..
