I have been looking at c63, e63 and AMG GTS. I have finally decided to pull the trigger on AMG GTS Edition 1. I had a few questions.
1) Does anyone know what was the window Edition 1 was offered? I am trying to find the latest so I can atleast have the most warranty, also figured the later models would have the most fixes if any than the earlier ones.
2) There was recall on Jun/July 15' models for the drive shaft. Were any Ed.1's impacted or should I be concerned?
As I have read on the forum that everyone loves this car and I am hoping to enjoy it too but would like make sure I get a good one to keep. I am primarily looking at the CPOs.

True there was a recall on the production cars of the dates you have mentioned, not a big deal it’s the glue used in the drive shaft would let go, my friend had one of those cars, nothing dangerous, dealers would change it if your car was one of those in that production date.

I got to check out an Edition 1 today locally with 6xxx miles. It was in awesome condition. It wasn't an MB dealer so I am torn if I should get a CPO or just buy from a regular dealer?
Wasn’t contesting that the car couldn’t be faster but since the cars specs were listed, 3.7 is MB’s official number.
I loved the early comparo from C&D; used to drive the same roads. The cars are in their natural element there and I wish we had something like it here (going fast for extended periods of time without having to look over your shoulder),
That said, 3.0 sec. sounds crazy fast for a GTS. I don’t recall seeing that number for any other model (GT C,GT R,etc). Was there?

This is a very very hard number to reproduce IMHO and especially once tuned with all the tq and spin. I dont think Ive seen it either on other models.

IF you can’t find a CPO car at least get a thorough Pre-purchase inspection at a local MB dealership that has an AMG section and negotiate a good aftermarket warranty as part of the deal, paying very close attention to what it will cover. Specifically the gearbox, etc.

Thanks everyone for your support!! The car finally arrived and I am loving the interior, the sound and handling of the car.
Though have a couple of questions. Attached is the pic of my odometer. I can't seem to figure out how to change the speed from km/h to m/h under the gear numbers in the top left.
Also, does it always show the coolant temp in degree C and not in F?
One last thing. Do the Edition1 come with a kick open trunk? I have tried it but doesn't work only it seemed like it did ones.
