Any help would be appreciated.

A)someone simply trying to toe the company line and keep you away from anything aftermarket, or away from things they are unfamiliar with because of their unfamiliarity (which you find a lot of on these cars)
B)a fool
on the GTS staying within a certain percentage of factory rolling diameter will have no negative or odd impact to vehicle or its performance.
example, Michilen Pilot Super Sport tires in 265/30-20 front and 305/25-21 rear are a perfect rolling diameter match, so no issues at all. Most go to a 265/30-20 and 325/25-21 combo when upgrading wheels, again, front perfect, rears perfectly acceptable small % increase.
also, to the poster inquiring about Toyo’s, if running stock wheels, the 315/30-20 is a great fit on the factory 11” wide rear.

Despite the fact that they are R compounds, I've found R888s to be surprising good street tires. The problem as a daily is wear. I would not run them on a DD but they are fine on the weekends, particularly because most of us aren't driving the big cars in bad weather anyway. You are in Texas so maybe not a big deal, but they are like rocks in cold weather (and consequently dangerous) until you get a little heat in them.

1.5 inch taller is way out of spec so I am just telling the op to be careful. would not want him to be stuck with tires or wheels that create an issue.

Stock rear tire is 27"
Toyo R888 315/30-20 is 27.5", that is less than 2% difference which is perfectly fine.
The 325/30-20 Toyo the OP mentions is 27.7", that is NOT 1.5" taller diameter, where is this incorrect math coming from?!!??? That tire is about 2.5% bigger than stock, AGAIN WITHIN ACCEPTABLE SPEC.
Threads get clogged up a lot with uninformed mis-information that can really screw up fact and reality.
I was thinking of ordering 20x9.5 and 20x11 wheels from them and running 275/30 and 305/30 MP4S.
