With stiffer rear springs you eliminate rear end squat when exiting a corner under power, keeping weight on the inside front tires which cancels out power induced understeer.
But ya gotta corner to know the feeling..

Done today.
So coils installed. Just thought I’d share these specs. I will share driving impressions later after a couple weeks

Any issues with lowering if you have DPP?

curious to know how long the factory shocks last when the car is lowered via springs or sleeves

So here are My thoughts on the installed Renntech Springs, With the caveat that I am by no means an expert, but hopefully these impressions will be helpful to those who want to change out their current setup.

First off, the reason I made this change was the car was sitting way too high and was leaning far too much in the rear. In addition, going over short undulations in the road, the car would bounce off instead of absorb the sudden change in the road.

The first thing I noticed when driving the car was looking down the long hood I can see the car actually moving in compliance with the road. For the first time, I actually felt the suspension “working” on all types of road imperfections, and the ride was far more plush. Entering and exiting a corner hard, There was very little lean and a lot more neutral balance, whereas before the front and rear of the car were not working in sync.

In summary, the front and rear springs are definitely softer, but really only in the first inch or so of travel, but when compressed further the springs stiffened up considerably. I simply think this is a function of the spring being compressed more and the car being lowered 3/4 of an inch up front and 1 1/4 in the rear.

In short, the new setup Has really transformed the car and would highly recommend. Car has a new balance and feels much more centered.

Sounds like a big difference in linear versus progressive spring rate(s). Glad you like the handling now. Car stance looks great.

Thank you for the detailed review! This is immensely helpful. I just picked up my GTS a few weeks ago and was quite shocked at how each road imperfection translates to being jarred about the cabin... I'm 6'2" and have hit my head a few times on the roof when encountering bumps at freeway speeds.

Glad to offer. You reminded me of a highway dip where I literally felt like I was coming out of the seat as well. Pretty scary actually. No more. I would also suggest P4S all around. I had to replace the front just prior to the coils and marked difference in ride.

thanks for all the comments all.

So after two weeks with these springs I can tell you they’ve dropped half an inch. And I will be raising them up again. I’m not sure how Vic handles these inclines and declines, but I’ve been scraping. Just an FYI

Thanks for the update! When you say scraping, do you mean tire in fender/wheel well or bumper on road?

Bumper and caught a real steep incline and it scraped metal brace underneath.

but I do run 19s in rear which lowers height more obviously

Half an inch WTF!!! Did you get aluminum springs LOL. I have never once in all my years of lowering cars with KW's (listed at the start of this post) seen a half inch or even remotely close to that in settlement. Something else must have shifted.

As for the inclines and declines, its called years and years of angle in and angle out. But this car is not even my lowest.

I know, your the artist when it comes to drops Vic. I am not. I just did not see it coming and no angle boom scrape. Look, I am 100% satisfied with the way the cars handling and suspension is working I just need to get it up in the air half an inch I’m perfect.

And if you need to while angling put on your hazards as people want to run up your *** when entering and exiting.

I can also attest to a little shrinkage. Maybe three turns up for street duty after initial drop is necessary but half inch is pretty big drop. Big compression at high speed? Ride is awesome on street.

yeah I was kind of surprised at that. I thought I’d drop a quarter of an inch. But yeah at Mexico speeds compression is pretty big but it’s good and it doesn’t bounce anymore like it used to. Street is awesome.
