Hi Everyone does anyone have a shop they can recommend in Dade or Broward to install springs. Thank you. Appreciate it.

The stiffer KW rear race springs [optional] are exactly what the car needed to eliminate any feeling of understeer in my opinion.
So, I just ordered the KW H.A.S. for my 2016 AMG GT S and inquired about these "rear race springs" and the rep (from Auto Talent) said that is not an option (he spoke with his rep from KW apparently). Can you provide some more detail as to how and where you got these stiffer springs? Thanks!

I called KW in Ca. directly and bought a pair from them. Both front and rear springs are the same dimensions so i's just a simple swap so to speak.
I also ordered another pair of front spring seats to use in the rear due to the rear seats being too tall with the stiffer rears. Check out post #40
My rear spring seats are dialed down as far as they will go for my ride height..

Hi, I am assuming you bought these springs on their own and not with the actual kit ( part number 25325080). Buying individual springs is possible but actually switching them with the springs in the kit is not possible.

So Finally got car back today after 2 months of Covid delays. Also had the intercooler grids installed.

Vic was right car dropped less 1/3 inch, and I had it raised 1/2 inch in front and less on rear. GT sits perfect for me now and suspension is correct.

And no toxic fumes here.....

are there any threads explaining initial set up with RENNtech or the KW set up - meaning "x number of full turns from full bottom = between X" and Y" of drop"? The instructions in the box are pretty light.

Having just bought a GT C roadster and being a little disappointed with how firm things are (running 32psi)

Have i read this correctly, the Renntech springs are progressive and therefore offer a softer initial compression therefore given a more compliant ride?

i’m not interested in lowering the car, only in a better ride, damping seems well judged to me but the springs seem at odds and too stiff.

The Renntech springs are softer than stock in the first few inches of travel. It’s a smoother ride. You can keep the stock ride height if desired.

and i’m guessing thats versus the std GT & S model? with the C being stiffer than both of those models std. by that reckoning, the Renntech springs should be even more noticeably softer?

I have them on my GTC Roadster and even with a drop, they are much more comfortable than stock in every setting.

First off, the reason I made this change was the car was sitting way too high and was leaning far too much in the rear. In addition, going over short undulations in the road, the car would bounce off instead of absorb the sudden change in the road.

The first thing I noticed when driving the car was looking down the long hood I can see the car actually moving in compliance with the road. For the first time, I actually felt the suspension “working” on all types of road imperfections, and the ride was far more plush. Entering and exiting a corner hard, There was very little lean and a lot more neutral balance, whereas before the front and rear of the car were not working in sync.

In summary, the front and rear springs are definitely softer, but really only in the first inch or so of travel, but when compressed further the springs stiffened up considerably. I simply think this is a function of the spring being compressed more and the car being lowered 3/4 of an inch up front and 1 1/4 in the rear.

In short, the new setup Has really transformed the car and would highly recommend. Car has a new balance and feels much more centered.
How does lowering the car more on the rear than the fronts affect the handling balance? Any sense of understeer or light steering feeling?

Can anyone help me to find the factory setup ride height?

My GT sat up higher in the rear because I am still using 19s in the rear, so I had to lower to compensate.

Car feels a lot more balanced now.

Brought car into a specialty shop to check camber this week and car was @ 2.6 and 2.4 on rear. Needed the MB Shims as they come in off center sizes.

Kudos to Kumizi ! Who sent me a box and1/2, as there are not many out there in stock. Will be able to dial down to 2.1 or so for street now.

RT coil over installation

They have to be special ordered so it will take a while and I will report back.
" KW adjustable sleeves " Are these the sleeves needed to install the RT coil over kit? OK got that question cleared up ! The answer is No!
