Discounts on 2018 GTR dealer inventory?

Discounts on 2018 GTR dealer inventory?
How much discount would you expect, if any, on 2018 GTRs that are on dealer showroom floors with the 2019s coming soon? Also, how difficult is it to secure a 2019 allocation for a GTR? I've been on dealer "lists" for the 991.2 gt3 but I've about given up waiting and am not willing to pay the dealer mark ups on used inventory. Thanks.

There have been no modifications between MY18 and MY19. I doubt there are any discounts. Used GTRs are going for close to list.
The waiting list list may be long too. There are less units being produced in 2019.

I found my ‘18 at a small MB dealership outside of a major metropolitan area. They offered me $5,000 more than any previous quote I’d received on my trade; threw in wheel/tyre insurance and paid to deliver the GT R to me and take my trade back to them. So anyway you look at it, their car was sold to me at less than MSRP. Perhaps not by very much, but certainly I didn’t pay full price.
So I think that if you can find a 2018 that suits your needs you may well be able to negotiate some % off of MSRP. Another option is to purchase a ‘used’ GT R from an official MB dealership that has, or will, CPO the car. The MB CPO program is excellent btw.
I also got tired of trying to play the broken Porsche GT purchase game and the markups that new purchasers seem forced to pay. I am so glad that I decided on the GT R since for me, its attributes are more closely aligned with those I enjoy, especially during daily, non track driving.

I think the bottom line is there are always deals to be found it matters how much time and effort u are willing to put in to the hunt. Some guys just want to go to there local dealer and get what they can from them(and that is fine) but if u dont mind travelling a little u can find the deals. For me the hunt for the next car is part of the fun then at end of the hunt u get the awesome reward of a great new car!

I placed an order in June and I’m still waiting on the PO. hopefully we’ll hear some news next month.
Gtr production is not limited to a certain number. I’d be curious to know how many they’ve produced so far.

I agree. If it was a demo, you can bet it was driven hard and not broken in properly. Most likely the car will be okay. However, 15k is not enough for a color you probably wouldn't have picked and it most likely may not have the spec you'd have chosen.

Maybee it was broken in correctly maybee not but at least u have a full warranty to cover u and u can probably do better than the $15k off MSRP the dealer is offering now. Also depends on how the car is specced out. I have not seen many if any red GTR before

I'm sure the 18's have bee sitting there..
I'll do some off the incoming new 2019 for anyone on here .. The blue is nice, especially in sunlight .. It isn't navy blue.
No cf exterior packages.. Some standard..
I didn't config, was a customer order.. They backed out after it locked config.. Honestly I wouldn't want much cf exterior

I have a GHM GTR. They def. bent us over for that paint at $9,900. At two gallons for coverage that's 5k a gallon - lol. Also, got us on the CF interior trim pieces for $3,150. Come on 3,150 for the console insert piece, piece around the AC vents and the thin strip on the door panel. However, all manufacturers do that. They price the car initially fairly reasonable for what it is, and get you on the options. Pretty sure it's all calculated and down to a science for max. profit extraction. Then again, no one held a gun to my head and forced me to buy the car with these options.
