Video Instruction on AMG GT Rear Bumper Removal

I plan on installing RW Carbon diffuser and was trying to find instructions on rear bumper removal. I found a video on YouTube and thought some of you guys may find it useful.

On their home page, they have a ton of instructional videos for different MB models:

If only this was so easy. lol. The removal of the top part does not come off that easy as It requires proper trim tools, serious elbow grease and lots of patience to not bend or damage tabs and bumper.

Thank you for your feedback! I can use all the help I can get :-)

when you say "the top part does not come off that easy as It requires proper trim tools" are you referring to the bumper? If so, are there fasteners that they don't show in the video? Any help or comments are greatly appreciated!

No fasteners up top. Just tabs that are hard plastic and getting them off without bending and potentially breaking and cracking paint is the tough part. Just take your time on the first one and once you understand how they come out, the rest will be easier. It took us about 15 minutes to figure it out.

Thank you Emeric!!

One last questions: I plan to keep the OEM diffuser and put it back when I sell it. Any tips on removing the existing diffuser?

I got this info from RW Carbon: "need to drill out some rivets. Once removed slide the new diffuser in and secure with screws on the tabs".

If I remember correctly, removing the OEM one was really a breeze. I do not remember having to drill out rivets but I could be wrong and will check with my friend. Stay tuned

There are some rivets that need to be drilled out, at least on my 18 that was the case when I changed it out. There is also an annoying cord that is attached to the difuser and the rear end of the car that is a PIA to remove...

Thank you Sno! Do you think the old diffuser would be usable in case I want to put it back when comes time to sell the car?
