Fred at RL makes fantastic equipment; highly recommended. Just make sure you don’t forget that you’ve installed these and drive off with them still attached! lol

BTW these are extremely useful. Buy three to make switching wheels, etc seamless and to minimise the risk of damage to rotors, calipers, etc:

what are the dimensions of the rectangular block? Burger Motosports makes a similar block. The block in theirs is 2.37”x1”x1”

Thanks for the info BTW!
Yes, but the spacer seems to be fixed on mine which is exactly the pic you posted. If that piece were not there I'm not sure it would fit properly or conversely be tall enough.

My C63 tool block is close in size. It's like 2 1/4" x 1 1/8" x 1 1/8".

I checked with Reverse Logic --Fred and he said "I was hoping to study a friends GT jack points, but, unfortunately, his car was totaled before I had a chance to check out the car. I have some new jack pad tool designs on the drawing board." Will follow up on this.

Good advice. Reverse Logic tools are so good that my block stayed connected to my car's jack point all to way home from the track after I forgot to remove it. But, don't try this....

i bought this from Fred. Works like a charm!
I use a low profile jack. The adapter stays in place with the spring loaded detents.

This is not necessary for the AMG GT. A hockey puck on a low profile jack works great.

We still have not answered the OP's original question, which is where to place jack stands for extra safety? I am also interested. You never go under the car, sure, but if the jack slips... your car will likely be written off. Extra piece of mind with a jack stand!

For anyone using floor jacks, and if you have NO other option to use jack stands for safety reasons I want to share a little technique I use and it will make a floor jack infinitely safer.

Place the floor jack at the appropriate jacking point, jack as high as it will go, take a quick measurement from the floor to the large pin at the base of the lifting pad. Cut a 2x4, or a 4x4 slightly less than that dimension (1/2", 12/13mm less). Place the wood stop under the pin and on the floor. Then lower the jack so it comes to slightly rest on the block of wood (takes a little finesse. Don't completely release all cylinder pressure onto the block. Keep most of the lifting on the jack cylinder.). In the above pic, the jack is NOT YET lowered onto the block.

This will make a floor jack as safe as a jack stand.

One other note - I DON'T CARE what car I'm lifting, and because of frame flex, I use TWO floor jacks. I either lift:
1. BOTH left and right sides of the front or back, equally until I reach the height I want
or,
2. BOTH the front and back of the left or right side equally until I reach the height I want.
3. EXCEPTION, if there is an engineered centerpoint that distributes weight evenly, then I would use it sometimes. The example above, using the Reverselogic pad I would use. In fact, I just ordered one (the W221 for an AMG GT fit).

I have wood inserts, as pictured above, for both jacks.

Thought I'd conjure this thread up one more time. Someone above asked which Reverselogic jack pad to buy, another mentioned one he had was too tall for the GT series. I communicated with Fred @ reverselogic. He recommended the W221 jack pad.

I received it yesterday. It DOES fit and fits just fine with my floor jack which really isn't even a low profile jack. I really like this jack pad and it does give me more options to use jack stands on the corner lift points as I can first lift from this center point.

Here is the W221, shorter than one pictured above:

Here is the clearance on my 2017 GT (my car is on stock suspension and NOT lowered)

Thanks! Very helpful.
Is it the W221 with the AMG spacer option?

Which jack stand will fit under the GT, from what Reverselogic sells? Can you help?

Hi Surge,

On the jack pad, it's just the W221, no other parts from Reverselogic.

Cannot answer the Q about reverselogic jack stands, I just have generic stands, a couple of different sets. I haven't actually tried it yet, but in my mind I could center jack the left or right side and it will give me two places where I can put jack stands - the front and rear lifting pads. With one side on stands I could now start lifting the other center side and end up with all four corners on jack stands. A little bit of work and effort, not sure I will actually need it but pretty sure I can do it now, in theory.

if your jack is too high and the Reverselogic is too high to fit in (the height from the bottom of car’s chassis to floor less the jack’s pad height from the floor, should be less the the total hight of the Reverselogic jack pad), i hav successfully use this Maso rubber jack pad from Amazon :
Amazon Amazon

Thank you for sharing this! Bought 4 and they seem to be a perfect fit from the dimensions and described quality. Been looking for a compatible, rubber/poly product. Appreciate it!

Just to reaffirm that MASO fits perfectly. Thanks again.
