I知 debating it as well and the place I called here in Oakville was very reasonably priced but they also told me that odds are I wouldn稚 even be able to notice any difference at all!

Not sure what to make of it considering so many here have suggested it makes a considerable difference in sound?

This is still the best comparison I have found yet:

I just cut the cats 2 days ago. Best $130 I've spent the car.

For those who got the resonators deleted. Did you get a TIG or MIG welded? Any preference of one over the other?

Thanks in advance!!

Thanks MG. I am debating how much of a difference it makes. The guy who is willing to do TIG in my area is asking for $500, whereas, the regular job (MIG) I have heard can be done for $200-250

Dude, no! Way to high for either, $200 max for MIG, mine was done for $150 here in LA, My other car was done TIG for $300ish, Honestly either way will not make much of a difference in my opinion. (note: my girl thinks I am wrong all the time)

They are located just under the engine where the pipes come down.

Nope, the only sound other than the V8 is me making engine sounds as I smile and rip up the street.

Guys I've heard that deleting secondary deletes may lead to some air sound which makes it worse a bit.

I've also heard a video in another thread and the sound wasn't clear.

Is there any better quality video can be shared by anyone who deleted the secondary cats?

2 quick questions... my fab guy is a perfectionist and wants to know what type of stainless it is... and also needs to know the pipe diameter... thanks for the help... he also suggested putting an x pipe in but I don't think i want to do that.

Someone chime in if I am wrong, there is nothing wrong with being a perfectionist, in my opinion, and I have owned and modified a lot of high end vehicles over the last 35+ years, that mod no matter what you use, pipe, material etc, is not going to make much difference in performance or sound, upgrading down pipes, exhaust system will, but not just the pipe used for removing secondary cats, just make sure that the weld is good but sounds like he is a perfectionist. lastly there is a debate on if the pipe should go over or inside the removed cat ends, and X pipe is another debate that can go on as well.

X-Pipe only works if you have two parallel pipes running side by side so where you remove the resonator (cat) you make the pipes to cross over so it creates some kinda back pressure so not to lose power. In the case of the GT you have two single pipes running on either side of the car so an x-pipe can not be applied.
