I switched out my rotors to Griodisc and cobalt XR1 pads. You will need the cooling ducts as well. Either Tikt, Renntech, and I believe there is a member on here creating their own.

Don’t know what to make of that company. He was all over the Porsche forum and they were abusing him but I still have no idea about the quality of their product.

Have you guys looked at the pricing on the Renntech GTR F & R brake ducts? Almost $4K without tax or shipping! lol

And why aftermarket parts producers make these in CF instead of reinforced plastic is beyond me. It’s not like they’re exposed for all to see.

RENNtech quoted me 2,850 Euros for the front and rear cooling kit. I think the price on the website must be incorrect.

Unfortunately because many, not all, but many, like just slapping carbon fiber all over the place on their cars, non carbon parts are harder and harder to find.

Peter,

At current exchange rates the US price based on the Euros you quoted should be closer to $3250. Hence an additional US tax it seems based on the retail price mentioned on the US Renntech site.

Plus if your quote included VAT, it’s an even worse deal for us here in the Colonies! lol

I have sent an email to Renntech USA asking if they’re interested in supply us with a group buy on the brake ducts since we couldn’t seem to impress upon Tikt that we’re serious.

I’ll let you guys know if I hear back.

I know there are US customs charges of 2.5% when importing auto parts.
In addition there is a bank foreign exchange rate fee of 2.7%
And there is a courier fee.

Are there any other hidden fees when importing goods from abroad?

Since Renntech has a presence here in the USA, I doubt if any of those fees apply; at least in a ‘visible’ fashion.
