Window Tint
Just picked up my GTC. Looking to get my windows tinted, considering either the rear and small triangle windows or just the rear window. Wondering what tint % you guys are running? Thanks.

2018 Solarbeam Yellow AMG GTS
The cops in NY love tinted windows. Easy money. They pull you overall the time for ticketing. Worse than for no front plate.

I took mine off after two tickets

Tinted mine all around except the front windshield
Up here it’s still legal up to a certain percentage that I can’t remember lol

Legal limit here is 35%. I’ve used 20% all around for decades and have never been stopped once. Looks great on the car IMHO.

'18 AMG GTC, '96 BMW 318i, '25 Ram RHO
28% limit in FL. I am at 30%. Lots of people drive with 15 or 20% and I never hear that they have problems.

I'd go with the max legal in your state except that in some states the side rear and back windows can be darker that the front door side windows, if you use different tints it looks funny to me so I do all the windows the same as the front doors. Get a good quality tint and a good installer. I've used my dealer when I buy the car as they have a full time guy doing it and they warranty it for life.

What do you mean by "small triangle windows"? Do you mean the side rear windows. If so I think they should be tinted so the side front and side rear match. Or am I missing something?

I’m from Vancouver. Here you can’t tint any of the front windows. So my options are to either only tint the rear hatch, OR tint the hatch + rear triangle windows. Either way the front windows would remain clear.

Why not have them (rear side windows) tinted and see how it looks? If you don't like it just remove it. Seems like the only way to know what's best for you.

I am in Delray also and looking for a place to tint my AMG gt roadster, who did your tint if you dont mind me asking?
At this moment I am thinking of the MB dealer on Linton.
