Front side canard from a 2020 to a 2018

Would really like to fit these on a 2018...is it possible? They bolt into the front bumper. Wonder if the bumper would need to be threaded...

I’m sure someone in China will make them out of CF soon too...

Great to know. The inside bumper could be a self tapping screw. I have the part number for these splitters:

190-885-15-03
190-885-16-03

please post a pic of underneath attachment.

Nice catch, didn’t even notice that on the 2020’s. Very subtle but nice little touch. Do you happen to know the part # for the smaller of the two side canards on the Pro? Not sure how these would pair together but might add a flair of aggressiveness to the front, not that it needs much!

Anyone do this yet? Is it a direct bolt on to the 2018 bumper?

I just ordered these front canards for my 2018. I will be posting pics and pics of my install. I have a friend that did the install and said it was a GIANT PIA and if not done right, they will fall off while driving. He also needed the hardware. They do not come with hardware.
Anyone with a 2019 or 2020 have these and have some pics of underneath or better pics of attachment? I heard the factory canards are coming off and coming apart? If you order the parts, now they come with double sided tape attached. Can anyone confirm this?

guessing you have a GTR...would love to see if they can be fitted on a 2018 GTC too...the aero pack thats available is end-to-end across the entire front deleting the chin splitter..

Yes. They should be, as long as the bumer profile is the same. It's the attachments that worry me. This should be interesting. I see a torx up top but dont know how many underneath...

I bought them, they are sitting ready to be installed. I will tackle them this summer. My friend installed them on his 2018 GTR and they look great. A bit difficult in the sense that you have to select/find the right screws and screw lengths and you will be driling into your expensive front bumper. One shot is all you get

Zeph! Good to see another from the W204 C63 side who made the Jump Thank you for the Canard Part Numbers!

Part Numbers for the Hardware would be nice, if they exist.

Any photos from your buddy or elsewhere showing the Cannard attachments from below, with the car on a lift and camera pointed upward?
Can't find any on the interwebs

Found some photos of the Cannard attachment underneath - appears via another 2 screws.

In addition, these appear legit skid protection: https://automodsfl.com/product/merce...r-skid-plates/

Haha I didn't expect people to like that addition as it appears more function than form, since it is another plastic piece tacked onto the car.

One would hope that with further iterations of model, they would have conducted more wind tunnel testing and further optimize the aero.

One would hope

I found this analysis of the aero of base GT interesting, and somewhat disappointing, in addition to its drag coefficient of 0.365 which "is amazingly bad for the time".

These deficiencies are likely rectified in the GT R, a notion further reinforced by outstanding real world lap times on track.

Completed this other weekend. It was savage (the way I did it, as I did not use simpley threaded screws)...never the less it was a chore but well worth it. Finishes the front end and corners nicely IMO and get rid of the jelly bean rounded corners.

Amazing how much gravel I shoveled out and cleaned out of the fender liner cavities.

Damn that seems quite a bit of work. I am tad confused. How do you fasten it then? With that existing push-pins?

They are known to fly off with wind force and rip the bumper. So I used stainless steel machine screws and locked them in with stainless nylon lock washers and nuts on the back end. The canards come with double sided tape but it’s not enough to keep them in place.

Why the piece of wood under the rotor?

It’s for ultimate protection incase the car falls…

jk, I had some blocks of wood that I use under my jack as a jack guard and I was working with my little kid cousin and he was fascinated and wondering how high the car was and we placed a block of wood under the rotor just as a height comparison. Not of any protective importance obviously…
