Tires for AMG Pro

Friends -

outside of the stock tires on the GTR Pro - what do you plan on running for daily driving? Cup 2S are a little slick in the rain.

Unfortunately there are very little selections if you wish to retain the same OE size for GTR/Pro. I too find the cup2 not very suitable for areas where rains a lot. The alternative would be 285/30/19 & 335/25/20. There are a few different choices including PSS and AS3+. Also there’s a Continental in those sizes.

The AS3+ is well regarded in the C7 Corvette Z06 community for having excellent grip in poor/cool weather conditions, and for being fairly compliant, especially for a RFT tyre.

Remember that when you migrate to the ROW ZP tyre sizes as mentioned above, your speedometer will be off slightly. At an indicated 70 mph you’ll actually be doing around 67/68 mph on GPS. That should apply to the AS3+ tyres I think.

Good to know. I used the PS4s on my GT350R - used em on the track as well and liked them. the Cup2s were of course better, but it was nice to not have to change them all the time.

I'll give these other options a try.

I am going to try the AS3+ next year.
I ran the 4S which are not a perfect OEM match, had to run a 325/25 in the rear but the increase in DD comfort was huge.
Decrease in traction was noticeable though.

Are you running on 275/30/19 & 325/25/20 PS4s?

There is some difference in sidewall profile, but once on the car it looked fine to the untrained eye.
