If someone was to offer me $100K over I would happily sell it to them.

I spoke with my dealer yesterday and asked what he is hearing and he said his rep said that the North East region is pretty much the same as before when they had requested demand builds.

I will see.

FASTMD:
You work hard and long hours and more than deserve to have things that you really enjoy.

I happen to agree wirh you about the GTBS looks. The car doesn’t excite me like the GTR and the GTS E1 did.

Like you I keep hoping it will grow on me but that spoiler set up although functional takes away from the overall car design (in my opinion).

IF i had one I would want to daily drive it and enjoy it around town and in the back roads but no frequent long trips. I wouldn’t track it because to me that is what the AMG Driving School Is for. Drive their cars and wear out the tires and brakes in a safe secure setting.

Frankly I am enjoying daily driving my new G63 more often than the GTR. But switching off is always an option.

Now this car is exciting to me. A 2021 McLaren 765LT getting an all over XPEL PRO wrap at my friends place. They also ordered in a blue tint for the lexan rear glass over the motor.

THIS car has some built in excitement and there is NO comparison when the motor is fired up. It sounds freaking awsome!! The rearend and spoiler have been designed much more tastfully than the GTBS and yet both cars can travel above 210mph.

Best wishes

Jerry

Man, I wish the BS did for me what that 765LT does... in both styling and exhaust note.

Great looking 765LT but I’ve got to say, who orders a car like that with those seats? Senna seats or nothing if it was my car.

I personally think the P1 buckets suit the 765 interior better than the Senna seats which have a skeletal design matching the Senna interior. I went with P1’s on my 765 also because I find them more comfortable and offering better lateral support in my lower torso.

2020 McLaren 720s Spider
The 765 is a gorgeous car. I haven't had the pleasure to drive or own one, but have had a chance to get behind the wheel of a 600LT and a 720S - just an awesome experience.

The challenge that I see with McLaren in general is the sheer numbers of 'new' coming from the brand. Arguably the modern era of their offering starts with the 12C in 2011 and in just 9 years they have released 10 distinct versions of their cars (double that if you consider their spider or other variants). It speaks to their continuous improvement; however, they take a massive hit in value. Unless you are talking about a limited release, the first year of ownership is crushing. I can't imagine the BS is going to suffer that same fate.

Relatively speaking, the 720s just edges out the AMG GT R in depreciation per year, at 18%, vs the GT Rs depreciation of 16%.

I need to say that it's not lost on me that for some this just doesn't matter...and they are REALLY fun to drive and very easy on the eyes. That said, it's a little deceiving to represent it like that. It reminds me of the person who asks for their pizza to be cut into 4 slices instead of 8 because they can't eat 8 slices. Given the disparity in costs, the actual dollars tell a more painful story.

Yeah, I don’t see a GT Black in my future as it will hold, but a 765 LT could be a reality in a few years $ wise. First car from them that looks proportional IMO.

The cars start at vastly different price points, so why wouldn't you look at the percentage when comparing them?

I am inclined to agree on the 765 after groping this one. What a visceral experience sight, sound and performance.

The negative is that McLaren has a way to go on after the sale customer service.

My experience with Mercedes is the opposite. I couldn’t be happier. That goes a long way when the new wears off.

Also, maintenance intervals and cost are far and away better on the Mercedes.

Happy Holidays to you and yours.

☐ Rekt ☑ Not Rekt
I've long stayed away from McLaren because I don't live within walking distance from a service center. This isn't me propagating some sort of myth, I have actually never driven one or had my friends own one that haven't had problems with them. Anything from the parking sensors constantly going off at 100mph to being imprisoned in their car and having to break a window to get out. Obviously not all of them have issues, but in my observation these cars come in two versions. 1. Those that have no issues 2. Those that begin with issues that never ever end. And I'm personally not interested in rolling the dice on a new one without a dealership in town.

The only McLaren I'm interested in and are actively looking for is a nice 675LT with low miles and zero history of issues. It has for me the perfect balance of performance, dynamics, and character of all the cars I've driven from this brand up to the 720S performance. I think in the future it will be regarded much like the 458 is regarded in the Ferrari world.

The 765 is a beautiful car and batshlt fast in a straight line. The aero bits help make it look more proportional over the 720S and the way it should have always looked. I'm just not sure the smidgen of extra performance warrants paying twice as much as a barely used 720S Perf.

After I wrote my response I did think I should have qualified it by saying that IF one was going to track the car pretty regularly than I’d choose the Senna seats. However, after seeing your P1 seats and how deep the bolsters are, I believe if the 765 LT is to be used for both street and track purposes, you are spot on; they look the business!

Hopefully it has a 4 year warranty. I'm thinking yes. Haven't found anything definitive yet. Lambo, Ferrari and McLaren are all 3 year. AMG and Porsche are the only ones I know that offer 4 year which is nice.

The 765LT is a 675 on steroids. They offer a similar driving experience so you can’t go wrong with either. I do believe history will look back on the LT models kindly - particularly these two (over the 600LT).

Go kart handling, cab forward driving position with a ton of visibility, communicative steering and brakes and very potent engines with extreme top end punch. They do have more lag than the competition, but it gives them an old school feel with a violent surge of acceleration. I personally love that sensation.

It would be nice if MBUSA updated when cars become available instead of 6 months later.

It shows no PRO (No longer made?) nor BLACK SERIES.

Thats a good question about the Pro. I believe it was supposed to be a 2020 model year thing only, but I am pretty convinced they haven't made all 750 models yet. Some markets that were getting 0 allocations ended up getting more - which makes me think that Mercedes might have overestimated the demand.
I asked my dealer around October if there was any more details on the 2021 GTR model range and they said nothing then. I wouldn't be suprised if you could get a 2021 Pro built.

So does this mean they accept new GT R orders up until Dec 29th?
