My First AMG...
Was bitten by the AMG bug when I first saw the R230. This is/was my 2009 SL63 AMG as it was called back then. Nowadays it's the AMG SL63. I still think it's a beautiful car. I was mesmerized by the looks, power and the luxury. So much so after I sold it. I bought the exact same spec car again (used) a year later because I missed it so much. Bonus was it had that rumbling NA 6.2 V8. New ones don't look as good to me. Post your first AMG.

My first AMG was a 2001 CL55. (The pictured car isn't mine; I don't have any pictures of it.) It was a nice car, but not really an AMG. The 2001 was not supercharged and had a measly 360 HP. I kept it for 12 years and near the end of my ownership it became expensive to repair. The air suspension system began to leak. I went from that to a BMW M6 convertible.

I fell in love with its comfy supportive seats, very solid feel, and long sleek looks the moment I got in it. My only gripes are it’s inability to put its power down under 100 km/h, and occasional clumsiness of the multi clutch transmission.

1999 AMG E55, the first E class AMG sedan imported officially to the USA. Guy in the passenger seat is Satch Carlson. That car panicked a much of 911’s on a road course! lol
(I have no digital pictures of the car, so took a picture of this framed picture; hence the flash and odd perspective)
