I remember this day a few years ago while crusing the Crest in my Rs211, this was the first time I saw a GTS on the road..

A magazine that went ‘downhill’ rapidly after David Davis left.

And now the parent company will no longer be publishing it in a paper format.

I remember those summer days driving to the news stand and buying every top rated automotive magazine to read in the backyard when I wasn't driving.
Now it's just the apps for the iPad..a plus is no more ink stained fingers in the summer heat..

I agree. I had a subscription to C&D for >30 years, along with Autoweek. Then picked up Automobile as well when Davis left C&D. Those were the halcyon days of American auto journalism IMHO. A shame it’s been lost in many ways.

What would you guys say are current, good publications?

And that GTS still looks great next to those bikes and cars.

I still like Road and Track and Car and Driver. I get the paper editions. Ink stains be damned!

I only tend to take the time to read C&D on-line for the US mags.

TBH I primarily only read the UK mags at the moment, those being CAR; Top Gear and EVO. Unfortunately whilst EVO used to be the cream of the crop, it has declined due to recent losses of excellent reviewers.

Road and Track and EVO seem to be at the top. Motor Trend on line has a new cable channel if you want to learn how to do body work and cut out rust. I do like Randy Pobst tests same track, same driver=comparability.
C&D has graphs that make no sense and still has worthless 50-70 mph in high gear times.
Automobile lost me after David D left. Still get Autoweek but proly won't renew.
