Cat Delete & Resonator Delete
Hey! I’m a bit confused with “the cheapest mod” on the GT, which is the secondary cat delete. My need is just to make the car louder. Besides cat delete, do I need to to remove the resonator as well?
If someone knows where can I get this job done in SoCal, please comment down below! (Orange County & San Diego)
Much appreciated!!!

Had mine all apart to delete lower cats. There isn't a resonator on the gts.after the second set of cats it's straight through with valves open.
2 ways to delete ,cut open and clean or like i did which requires some with sheet metal and welding skills or just cut pipe and remove cat all together.
See attached photos
Cleaned out

I'm not aware of any other sound dampening part of the exhaust systems, past the 2nd cats, besides the muffler (which is only use when the valves are closed).

I recommend cutting the secondary by the front and back pipe clean, not cut out, just in case you need to replace it to sell, it will be easier and cleaner.

Nobody in SoCal will do it and tell you about it on the forum. Doing so, that shop will get shut down and fined heavily. In this nanny state it is 100% illegal to mess with your emissions like this. Go and talk to someone in the car mod community offline and out of the eye of the public - you likely won't get an answer about a shop in Southern California doing that kind of job. Loose lips sink ships!

Yes skilly is 100% correct ,big exhaust manufacturers are getting wacked for exhaust mods , flowmaster ,borla . Diesel bros shop got hit with 800k fine for emissions bypass stuff. Last car Mercedes gts I traded in had to sign affidavit saying no exhaust mods done.Crazy times now.

ha! I was reading the OPs ask not realizing that its months old. Im originally from BC and they werent far behind California with their smog check stations and emissions checks. That said, I would have thought a big metro like Toronto would be doing the same thing.
