Pops and Backfires Gone in 2020MY?
Can someone confirm that in the US/Canada they have eliminated the Sport+ exhaust backfires? I heard this, but not sure if it’s true, or if it applies to N America.
The begging of the end for us Petrol Heads! (I’m keeping my 2019!)

And in your own thread...wtf is with the trolling on this board?

2020s - for the last time are quieter but still have the crackles and pops.
My 2020 GTR Pro has them.
no doom and gloom for exhaust and no end in site for performance vehicles with big v8s and exhaust. We are arguably in the greatest time for big hp loud exhaust factory vehicles.

That isn’t it man. This is a consistent narrative with Surge. Doom and Gloom. 2019s are better than 20s, etc. Very strange.

I must be striking a nerve because you're obviously getting worked up about it.
I share my views here because I know there are potential buyers who are trying to decide between the 2019 and earlier and the 2020s.
And Do Not get me started about that hideous center console, with a blank switch (because they moved the start button!).

It's demonstrable that the 2019s and earlier have some features that are better than the 2020s. I don't subscribe to something being better just because it's newer. There's a reason why I bought my 2019 when I could have easily bought a 2020.

See, that’s where you are wrong, mon ami. Everyone cares, or should care, because the message to send to Mercedes is that it’s not acceptable for their flagship sports car to have a shared console with blank switches. Especially when the original had a custom design that represents what’s probably the most special attribute of the car - the V8.
Does it take away from the driving experience? No... but is it lame? Absolutely! Stop kidding yourself. Of course it is.
